We have been to EmmaVet several times, but we recently came to EmmaVet because we could not get in to see anyone at our regular vet when Ferby was having real issues with diarrhea for several days. Ferby was given the very best care by both doctor and staff. He was not eating the rice with his boiled chicken and the doctor suggested boiled potatoes. And, what do you know, he really likes potatoes! He is recovering well now. His appetite and spunky behavior is rebounding with the tummy meds, probiotics , and boiled potatoes and chicken. As a rescue senior, my pup has anxiety and health issues and we so appreciate the kind care we receive whenever an emergency comes up!... read full review

Best Er in the DMV and let me tell you why.
Lived in Alexandria, moved to southern Maryland. Our old senior had a tumor that started leaking, a sign it had ruptured. We debated on going to a local er, but I had bad experiences, so I asked my husband to take me here, and God am I glad I did. I figured we might have to put her down, much like we put our last dog down, due to a internal stomach tumor. Thankfully our vet was super understand yet able to work out a plan that made sense. Now Roxy is back to her normal self, happy and living a great life once again! Thank you to the doctors, receptionists, vet techs and vet assistants at emmavet for all helping... read full review

We scheduled an appointment just to get the sutures out from his wound. The technician who took out the sutures reported to Dr. Donovan the status of Keeno's Oncology consult and Dr. Donovan went to see us before we leave and asked to be updated if its okay.
