I came to Slam Curl Studio after three months of searching and scared to try someone new. My hair was dry y'all, crusty and dusty… my ends screaming for help. I had the honor of having Diondra cut and style my hair and let me tell y’all she UNDERSTOOD the assignment. I brought my 18 year old niece here to Julia for a cut and style because she’s struggled with her curly hair and not had a truly professional curly cut. I had just picked her up when she had the biggest smile and said “omg that is the best place ever, finally someone was able to do exactly what I wanted and Julia was so nice, easy to talk to.” Especially as she’s struggled with her hair due to some medical issues in past years, it was so gratifying to see her that happy. We will definitely be back when she comes to visit and highly recommend them to others!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Deaundra! From the moment I walked in, I felt seen, heard, and completely taken care of. Finding someone who truly understands curly hair is rare, but Deondra is not only knowledgeable—she’s an absolute artist. The atmosphere is nothing but warm and welcoming at Slam Curl Studio!
