Jacob’s Ranch was the BEST trail ride I have EVER experienced!!!
To start, I want to echo what other posters have said - if the initial phone call gives you pause, I urge you to give Jacob’s ranch a shot, unless REALLY all you want to do is ride around at a walk for an hour. This is an experience LEARNING about horses with hands on experience, and the initial phone call just demonstrates how passionate Jacob’s Ranch really is about horsemanship.
We rode during our honeymoon with Joshua who was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and patient. We spent the morning getting to know our horses and working with them on the pen and around the ranch. Once we were ready to ride, we had a snack and head out for the rest of the day. After crossing through town, we made it to the BLM land where Redbull Rampage was taking place. Although the horses weren’t used to the bikers and signs, they handled them exceptionally well. Once past that, we rode across plains, through ravines, over hills, and alongside cliffs. I have been riding my whole life, but my husband has only ridden a handful of time and he was able to gallop alongside us no problem. We both had the BEST time!!!! I will 1000% be coming back to ride with Jacob’s Ranch in the future - it was truly one of the most fun days of my entire life!! YOU MUST GO!!!
