My kids now want to do this every year! We have pretty much zero riding experience. We have 8 kids from 3 to 16 and our amazing guides, Joshua, Michelle and Landis were able to help us learn the basics well enough to run the gauntlet. It was a beautiful experience. My three year old was even able to ride the entire adventure tour on his own horse with Landis by his side. Landis definitely deserves a raise after patiently enduring 7 hours of my son talking his ear off. He even sat down and played with him during the lunch break Honestly I wish we would have brought more cash with us so that we could have tipped more. I am sure our crew was a lot to handle due to our inexperience but the wranglers were so patient. One of my kiddos got off his horse and let go of the reigns on the ride back to the barn and poor Joshua had to chase the horse down, even after he had bad headache from a mishap with a piece of firewood. But he never complained. The ride itself was beautiful. It was a bit scary for me at times because of my inexperience. I even had a little tumble when my horse jumped up a little ledge. Nothing was hurt but my pride. My kids on the other hand only wanted more. The cost of this ride was a stretch for us financially. As a big family, we have to be very choosy on what to spend our money on, but this was worth it.
