    I usually don't leave reviews but this place is the worst! My daughter never received her glasses that were ordered last October! I've called multiple times asking about them and get the same explanation that they'll ask the manager and call me back. (I've never gotten a call back from them and im still waiting for the glasses)

    Same experience as others. Took forever to get my contacts and glasses and they weren't good at updating me at all on delays. When I finally got my glasses they weren't working right. I went in for an exam to find out what was wrong with the glasses and they said I had the wrong prescription. I was told they'd replace the glasses for free. Then for the next month they kept calling and texting me and each time had a different story. Sometimes they said I had to pay for the glasses. Sometimes they said I didn't have to pay anything. Sometimes they said I had to pay part of the payment. They never could give me a clear answer and whenever I called and left messages asking for updates I didn't get called back. Finally I got a text that the glasses were in (still without being told whether or not I need to pay for them). I went to pick them up during their listed business hours on both their website and the door but the doors were locked. Who just closes during business hours without notifying customers? I will not be a repeat customer.

    I wish I could rate less than 1 star. We ordered glasses 4 months ago. They could still not tell us when they would be completed. Finally we were able to get a refund, but not until several phone calls and visits to both the store and the main office. I cancelled Opticare insurance and will be going somewhere else.

    ***To start off I just want to say that I find it interesting that the owner only responds to positive reviews and ignores any negative ones, I find that very telling about this company.***I am compelled to write this review out of deep disappointment and frustration with Standard Optical. This is not just about a delay in receiving glasses; it's about the crucial impact on my young son's vision health, which has been negligently overlooked by Standard Optical.We placed an order for a highly specific prescription on October 2nd, clearly explaining the urgency due to my son's developing eyesight. The assurance was a six-week delivery. That deadline has long passed, and we're still waiting, with no glasses in hand.The lack of communication from Standard Optical has been profoundly disconcerting. Each promised callback from a general manager turned out to be an empty assurance. When we finally received an update, it was a mere explanation of back-ordered lenses - information that would have been invaluable much earlier.The offered token refund does not begin to compensate for the stress and the potential impact on my son's vision. As of now, we are still without glasses and Standard Optical still has my $200. We paid months ago for a product that we have not been able to use and this delay could be detrimental to my son's vision. In fact, by the time we get these glasses, he may need a whole new prescription, and I'm sure Standard Optical would happily pocket more of my money in that instance as well.This experience has been a stark reminder of how critical and yet how undervalued customer service can be, especially in a health-related field. The urgency of our situation seems to have been completely disregarded by Standard Optical. The disappointment I feel is profound, and I caution others who might be considering their services, especially for cases requiring prompt and attentive care. I would not recommend this company to anyone, and I have been quite vocal about it when it comes up in conversation. Do not go to Standard Optical!

    I hope my experience was atypical but in fairness I need to let people know what will happen if something goes wrong. Basically their policy is caveat emptor, any substandard quality is on you.The eye exam was fine and the people were fine.The issue is that they broke my glasses and won't replace them. They told me that I could get lenses made that would fit my current frames, I liked my current frames and I didn't really like any of their other frames. It took 3-4 weeks for them to make the new lenses, they apparently tried to fit them into my old frames and broke the frames while trying. They told me that they broke my glasses but that I could buy a new pair of frames from them. They will not replace the frames and told me that best they could do is give me a $25 coupon towards new frames in their shop. They also told me that there is nothing I could do because I signed a waiver that absolved them of any fault. Basically it felt like they were blaming me with trusting them to be able to put lenses into frames. No available refund and no frames available for anywhere close to $25, just new lenses and broken frames is the best they can do. I don't think they did this on purpose but I also don't think this is the first time they broke someone's glasses and blamed them. Be very careful if you go here and be very sure what you are signing and hope nothing goes wrong.

    I don’t remember the name of the woman who helped me today, but she was incredibly nice. She knew it’s been a while since I’ve had my eyesight checked, explained the tool to me that I’m not used to (due to how long it’s been), and was overall supportive. She showed me how to order online, and gave me a quick lesson on what each number of my prescription means. I can’t imagine Halloween would be a busy day, but I was in and out very quickly with great service.

    If I could I would give no stars,I ordered my son’s glasses more that 2 months ago and they just send me one message saying that his uncut glasses were ready so my husband went to the store and spoke to someone and the lady explained to him they needed his frame but he didn’t have it that day so she told him no worries I got cha and they send one of the frames they had in store so they can cut the glass to fit his frame!Well the thing is that when his lenses were ready but no one had the nerve to give me a call back so I waited for a few days and waited and the wait ended being 1 month and some days! Till I called today an asked for his lense so the person who answered the phone said WE WERE SENDING YOU MESSAGES AND CALLS BUT YOU NEVER ANSWERED! She’s like a have everything here that we were trying to reach out to you! I got mad and upset and I got mad and upset delete and I told the lady the last message that I received was on September September 18th and I told her that no one called and message me again to notify me that my son’s lenses were ready and she kept saying we did,I showed her my messages and told you guys never called me or message me back to tell me the lenses were ready! I told her that everyone should be working the same and be on the same page and she said we are,but obviously their not because is not the first that this happened to me! Plus I asked for the store manager and she said I am! And she keep saying that they did call me and there was nothing she can do about it if my voicemail was unavailable and I told her that my voicemail it is available they just didn’t what their supposed to be doing! Her customer service skills sucks because she never apologized or say sorry for the inconvenience or I apologized or said I’ll make sure this doesn’t happen again! This is the reason why you guys ended closing a few stores because your employees sucks! By the way the store manager name is Marissa hopefully she can treat the customers better and get some better customer service skills so issues like this don’t happen again to anyone!

    Stopped into this location to browse while waiting another appointment. The ladies in the office, Maurisa and Courtney, greeted me cheerfully. They helped me pick out frames that would work well with my prescription, were within my budget and looked great on my face! They were so personable and full of knowledge that as, I, a long time glasses wearer never knew! I will be coming back to see these ladies again!

    I went in to get some new glasses and had Courtney help me pick some. She was AMAZING!!! I cannot say enough good things about her. She helped me pick some awesome glasses and I get compliments about them all the time. I will definitely keep going back for glasses as long as Courtney is there.
