I'm not a patient at Rebirth, but my child is and has been for over a decade. We've always loved Dr. Luikenaar, she's crazy smart and highly knowledgeable and creates a safe space for all. The only negative thing about Rebirth was Dora. Not only was she horrible to my child, but she constantly messed up billing and insurance claims, then blamed my kid. It got so bad my now adult child would have me call Rebirth, because he was terrified to get emotionally abused by Dora. She always seemed to settle down when I'd call because I wouldn't put up with her attitude. I think maybe she missed the memo about working at a clinic that treats a marginalized community. I would give 10 stars if i could. i am happy to be able to say, as a very long time patient, that REBIRTH IS A SAFE AND LOVING SPACE AGAIN! If the reason you had a negative experience at Rebirth was the woman who ran the front desk/billing department, that incredibly rude woman that answered your calls and constantly messed up your bills/insurance stuff, you should know that she is GONE!!! As much as I absolutely LOVE Dr. Luikenaar, i was starting to consider finding a new practitioner because of the woman that ran the front desk for years, Dora. Absolutely amazing place to go. Extremely welcoming and friendly people. Very informative too. They went over every detail and question I could have. They were very professional and knowledgeable about all things transgender/lgbtq+. The amount of consent forms you had to fill out, while feeling excessive, actually made me appreciate it more. Everyone was wonderful!
