I called Neerings to come out and unscrew and replace a leaky outdoor faucet. Technician replaced the faucet in less than 10 minutes. Initial fee was $420, but when he saw how pissed off I was, he lowered the price to $320, acting as if he did me a favor. I will never, never ever do business with Neering again, nor will I recommend their services to anyone I want to remain friends with. John Willoughby Draper, Utah

Had a pretty crappy experience With Neerings. Ultimately the tech that came to maintenance My AC told me to buy different filters and gave me the size to buy. So I did and they are not the right size by a good 4 inches and there is no way to return them at this point as they were purchased on Amazon for his suggestion. I talked with someone who basically said I was SOL and that he couldn’t do anything to help me and now I am stuck with $100 worth of filters I cannot use. I will not be a return customer. I would also suggest that your “techs” not give out advice on something they know nothing about. Like furnace filter sizes, who knows what else they don’t know.

Tony is great. He and his coworker got the job done quickly and efficiently. We have worked with Neerings many times and they have never let us down.

I want to give a huge shout-out to technician Josh!! He located the root cause of an ongoing issue with our AC unit not cooling our house that another agent could not figure out. Josh spent the time to make sure that the unit was working accurately as possible for what he had to deal with. Finally a cool night sleep on these warmer days.

We scheduled a routine A/C tune-up on our system, which is only two years old and has been working perfectly with zero performance issues. The technician told us all readings — including capacitors and amp draws — were “within spec,” yet still tried to sell us more than $500 in additional services to “set up Cool Cloud parameters” (a job that uses an app that only contractors can use- even though anyone can download and use it and it would only take about 20-30 minutes).
The justification for the work was vague and centered around airflow and temperature split numbers being “slightly low,” despite the system cooling properly and showing no actual signs of malfunction. We were also told the blowers and secondary heat exchangers needed cleaning on a nearly new system, which raised serious concerns about whether these recommendations were legitimate maintenance items or simply unnecessary upsells.
After speaking with other HVAC companies and researching the issue further, it became clear that no meaningful diagnostics or evidence were provided to justify the cost. If a company is recommending expensive corrective work, homeowners should be shown actual measurements, manufacturer specifications, and a clear explanation of why the work is necessary — not vague statements designed to create concern.
Be cautious with this company, ask for detailed readings in writing, and strongly consider getting a second opinion before approving costly “recommended” services on a system that is otherwise operating normally- the tune up was just an upsell BS visit and all they did was spray down the units with water and try to upsell us with 4 different estimates for their proposed services.
