The atmosphere of Lucero Hair and Wellness is so cozy and welcoming and everyone inside is very friendly. I initially chose Jem because I loved their work, but I stuck with them because they are a true artist that understands my vision for my hair every time. I can't recommend Lucero and Jem enough!

I’m nonbinary and super particular about my hair and usually do it at home, but unfortunately don’t have the skills of a professional. I’m also an out of state student and this is the only place in the country i actually trust! Truly cannot recommend enough, especially for queer and alternative people. The service is great and if you show up with reference pictures they’ll DELIVER! prices are also super reasonable imo

Shy was incredible! I was amazed when we started talking and they instantly understood what I was going for. They talked me through all the products they were using, all of which were specifically picked for what my hair needed at the moment. This is a great place to have curls, I never felt like my curly hair was being treated as though it was straight like it has been at so many salons. My hair feels so much lighter and softer, and the haircut was exactly what I wanted + needed. The salon itself is a fun and inclusive space (shoutout to how absolutely queer everyone and everything is). I felt like everyone was enjoying themself, both clients and stylists. I was very nervous and awkward going to a new place and meeting new people but I had such a flawless time I will definitely be back.

If you haven't come here for a haircut, what are you waiting for? Everyone is very polite and fun. I had so much fun talking to Milo. I just needed a shape up/ trim nothing too crazy. I think I had more fun paying for an interaction and conversation with Milo then I actually did with the haircut. The haircut was a bonus. I'm excited to come back again and get his Scalp massage.

Nathan was welcoming and kind and kept checking in with my daughter to make sure the eyebrow wax turned out exactly how she wanted it. It was our first time in and everyone made us feel right at home. Love the vibe. We will be returning!

In the beginning when I got there I was really nervous cause I have curly hair. Not a lot of places I feel here in Utah know how to do curly hair and the hair cut that I wanted. I've been very protective of my hair since I've had bad experiences. I also have a undercut that I'm growing out so it was just nerve wracking. But when I got inside everyone was so nice and sweet. My hair stylist Madison who cut my hair, they were so pleasent and listened to everything. Asked what I wanted and if I had pictures for what I was wanting too, and also wanted to see my hair before since I have a lot of hair and my curls were being weighed down a lot. In the consultation we had, before they cut my hair I explained everything. She also was straight with me and told me my hair since I have the undercut we couldn't get it exactly how I wanted. But that was okay with me. Then we got to it, by the end I loved my hair when I left. It's been a few days now and it's still perfect for me. I will for sure be coming back because how comfortable they made me feel and everyone else!

First time at the salon on a recommendation. Schylia had their work cut out for them since it’s been almost 3 years since I’ve stepped foot into a salon. They completely restored my hair like magic !! Beautiful salon with beautiful people who are beyond talented. Prices are also very reasonable.

Great atmosphere, felt confident and comfortable as soon as I walked in the doors. Wonderful staff! I’ve been to an handful of salons in slc and this is the first time I actually got what I wanted. And all their hair products smell incredible!

Brooklyn has completely transformed my hair and helped me come into my own by doing so in the process. As a queer woman with an alternative haircut, I’ve had so many uncomfortable experiences in salons and barbershops. My experience at Lucero with Brooklyn has been the complete opposite of that. Brooklyn’s knowledge of any textured hair is vast and they cut my hair in a way that is so naturally flattering to it. I feel the most myself I ever have and my hair is a major contributing factor in that. I am so grateful for Brooklyn and cannot recommend them enough!
