I fly from Utah to this salon every 3-4 months cause they are THE BOMB! Hands down, best curly salon I have ever been to. They have years and years of "Best Of" award plaques on the wall... need I say more! If you're wondering- DO IT ALREADY!

Tayslie is phenomenal. I haven't had a hair cut in over 2 years, however I really try to take care of the health of my hair beyond that. I've had quite a few sad haircuts, and it takes a lot of time for me to feel comfortable enough to go back. I've been following Curly Hair Studio and Tayslie for 6+ months if that tells you anything. Finally had enough of my split ends, and decided to book. Their online booking system was easy enough to maneuver around and they checked in multiple times during the days leading up to make sure that slot still worked for me. Tayslie and her assistant, Katie, were insanely kind and knowledgeable. I explained my entire thought process behind what I wanted, and not only did they meet my expectations, they exceeded them. I actually have never had a haircut experience like this before. I just WANT to show it of. I will absolutely continue to book here. Amazing stylists, products, and quality service!

DO NOT GO HERE. Horrible salon. They cut my hair all uneven, so I didn't want to go there anymore. When I tried to cancel my appointment online the day before it doesn't let me cancel less than 48 hours in advance. So, they charged me $100 cancellation fee because they had my credit card information on file. That's more than the crappy haircut! Apparently, that cancellation policy was in a contract I signed. Why do we need a contract? It's a haircut. And a crappy one at that. Wish I could give them negative stars. Their 5 stars is obviously bull.

Very disappointed both with the hair services and the customer service overall. Wouldn't recommend to anyone with ethnic hair. Hi, I am editing my review because I am unsure how to just reply to the business's comment. I have been taking my niece to see Leslie Joe here at curly hair studios for a few months. We had been satisfied with her haircuts so far, so we felt comfortable trying a color service. She really wanted to get her hair ombré colored with a bright red hue. We arrived for our appointment 15 minutes early, but our appointment did not begin until 30 minutes after the start time. We had sent in a picture of what my niece wanted prior to the appointment and showed Leslie Joe again when we arrived. She confirmed that the color was "bright, fire truck red". However, the result from the hair color service was not ombré at all, nor was it bright red. My niece walked out of the studio after about four hours with an all-over burnt reddish color. We then payed over $300 before a tip. Halfway through the service, Leslie Joe started talking about how people usually come to see her for "natural" hair colors and she doesn't usually do bright colors. That tells me that she was aware that the service was not going well and it wasn't going to turn out the way we asked. I didn't say anything at the time because I wanted my niece (who is 13) to feel confident at school the next day. However, with the amount of money and time we spent on the service, I would have expected her hair to look the way she wanted it to from the beginning. At the very least, it would have been considerate for Leslie Joe to lower some of the price since she knew it was not what we asked for. She then had us book follow up appointments for the hair color, which was described as "all over red". That further tells me that she knew it was not ombré and that it was not what we asked for. However, since we had been satisfied with just the haircuts before, we decided to avoid color services here and just do the haircuts. The next time we had a haircut, I was notified a few hours before that I had a covid exposure and called to reschedule. The receptionist informed me we would have a $50 charge if we cancelled. I told them that I felt that was unfair and I was repeatedly told "this is our policy." I was told I could speak to a manager by calling the studio, and I asked if I could speak to one over text so I could have a written record. This request was ignored. Now normally I would agree with this type of policy if 1) we had asked to reschedule late before, 2) it was not a policy that reinforces people risking public health to avoid a late charge, and 3) if I had been treated with respect rather than ignored. It made me feel that the company valued $50 more than my continued patronage. I did pay $50 despite how I was feeling. Overall, these two experiences combined made me feel devalued and disrespected as a customer. We felt so marginalized that we no longer feel safe at this salon. We found another in Salt Lake that fixed the dye job and made us feel welcome.

I had my hair done by Tayslie. She did such a great job and was really fun to spend time with! I'm so glad I finally found someone who knows how to cut and style my curls. Can't wait to go back and get some color!

Let me start out by saying that I don't have the best history with hair salons. My hair has always been tougher to manage and it led to many years of giving in to harsh chemical treatments just so that I could get a brush through my hair when I was younger. I also remember spending $300 of hard earned money as a high schooler for a celebrity stylist's curly hair cut, only to leave with what was essentially a bird's nest on top of my head. I remember the stylist had asked to take a "before" picture, but she never asked for an "after" picture...Long story short, my hair type is tough. Years later, this is where Amanda comes in! She was my stylist at Curly Hair Studio and, amazing hair skills aside, she had such a warm and friendly personality. She took the time to sit down and understand what was going on with my hair. She educated me about hair products and techniques. She wasn't judgmental. And she made me feel good about my natural hair. On top of that, she sent me a text following the appointment with reminders of how to care for my hair and when to use various hair products. Highly recommend Amanda and this salon!

I had such a wonderful experience with Amanda at the Curly Hair Studio Salon! I had never received a "curly cut" prior to this, but Amanda exceeded my expectations. From the start, she was very personable and kind, listening to my wants and being practical with me regarding what haircuts would or wouldn't work for me. She walked me through each step of the wash and style process, offering me tons of tips and tricks to ensure the happiest and most defined curls! I absolutely loved my haircut and how I felt after. However, it was a bit pricey for a haircut ($150 for Amanda as a stylist)--FYI. Overall, I loved the experience and would highly recommend both this salon and Amanda for any curly folx out there!

I had a wonderful experience getting my hair cut! They had me wash my hands and took my temperature upon entering. Then, Tayslie listened to all of my needs and talked me through the whole product. Overall I'm very happy with my hair! It was pricier than haircuts I've had in the past, but I'd say it's worth the investment.

As mentioned before, Rachel is the best. So attentive, honest and a master at what she does. Happy with my hair and the salon experience even with this pandemic going on, she practiced all the necessary safety measures.

Over priced for the services rendered. They are completely a la carte which is not common for black hairstylists. The stylist blow dried and flat ironed my hair but didn't style it and I paid $75. I won't be returning.
