The Orem VA Clinic has a welcoming atmosphere, with friendly reception staff and nurses. The waiting area has a few magazines and vending machines. The clinic is convenient, with on-time appointments and a modern building. Some patients have had positive experiences, finding the staff helpful and friendly, and feeling heard and supported. However, others have concerns about the quality of care, citing difficulties with communication due to language barriers, and feeling that the focus is on meeting quotas rather than addressing individual needs. Overall, the clinic appears to be a mixed experience, with some patients appreciating the friendly staff and convenient service, while others express frustration with the care they receive.
As a veteran that receives treatment here they have always been helpful and kind, the Va process and this clinic are two separate things. The amount of bad reviews on here from people that don’t understand the purpose of this clinic and the role it plays in Va healthcare and not the center for Va administration is wild.
This clinic helps veterans that are enrolled and receiving treatment from the va. They don’t make the decisions on your claim, they don’t see emergencies like a er, they simply treat scheduled patients and do blood labs.
The providers and pharmacist (Dr. P and Dr. K) are great! The facility is nice. The lab staff is friendly, fast, and accommodating. They saw me after an appointment, even though they were closed (they close earlier than the rest of the facility), just so I wouldn't have to make another trip.
Trying to get anyone on the phone...ugh. Not fun. Not a reflection on this facility or staff, though. I recommend using secure messaging on myhealthevet when possible.
The staff and doctors are excellent and take the time to understand and inform. 5 Stars
Getting through the call center is another issue though. 1 Star, not to do with this facility.
