A friend of mine was a client of Travis for a short time. Travis means well, but his methods aren't always helpful. He doesn't go very deep and tends to have shallow-rooted solutions-solutions that would seem obvious to the common person. If you have deep rooted trauma or deeper issues Travis is not the therapist for you. Travis is great at being a problem solver for every day issues and things that can use logical solutions, but if you have deeper rooted issues he probably won't help much.

I'm so grateful to Travis and his expertise. He has helped me talk through many situations and struggles in a caring and productive way. After visiting with him and developing tools that I can use in my daily life, I have seen a huge improvement in my life. Thanks Travis!

Travis initially comes across as a great guy, happy, well meaning. I'm sure for basic, short term thearpy he is.However, if you need something longer term or if you have been through trauma, he is not the counselor for you. My husband and I saw Travis for right about two years, as a couple and in seperate sessions. In that time Travis applied many bandaid attempts to "heal" us, but he can't go deep to get to the bottom of the issue. He would rather just patch the wound so you feel great for a week, and come back.When your in a trauma, or triggered as he calls it, Travis shuts down, ignores text/voice messages and has even raised his voice in a session.
