JaMese, Niklaus and Kristan made the entire experience truly special and memorable. The memorial service was perfect in every way! Every thoughtful detail and the gentle care they showed will never be forgotten. Their compassion, organization, and calming presence made a lasting impact during one of the hardest times of my life. I’m forever grateful for the comfort and love they provided to me, my family, friends and sweet girl. <3 S. king“

Rest Haven responded without hesitation when we called upon them to prepare Dad's body for burial. Joseph Slovak guided us through all the details to plan a celebration of life for Dad. Katy at the Flower Box created a beautiful spray for the casket with an outdoor theme appropriate for Dad. Robert Stephens, an ambassador for Rest Haven, drove the casket and flowers to the burial sight and worked with local cemetery officials to put in place our plans for our small family celebration. He stayed that Saturday morning until the ceremony was over and oversaw the interment of Dad's casket. This was our first experience with Rest Haven and we were very pleased!“

2128 18th St, Plano“Recently, our family suffered a devastating loss. Death is never easy to navigate, but the only thing that was easy, was I knew immediately who to call to lovingly and respectfully care for our loved one.
We’ve used the services of Ted Dickey four times because we can rely on them to take care of our deceased family members with care. Through each loss, they’ve been kind, respectful, considerate, sensitive and communicative throughout the entire process.
Some losses require more care and delicacy like our recent loss. The person we typically work with moved locations so we ended up working with Will this time. From the beginning, he was incredibly compassionate, walked us delicately through the process and was an amazing support and advocate for our family. Not only that, he was incredibly patient with me, understanding that I often needed to double check that everything was going according to process. He was gentle with our grieving family members and just absolutely amazing through the whole process. I truly can’t thank him enough for everything he did for our family.
We ended up meeting Will, the director and another amazing woman (whose name I’ve unfortunately forgotten) and everyone was truly kind and respectful. They honored our loved one so beautifully and we are so appreciative of their efforts.
There are also logistics involved and necessary paperwork. We had a minor issue with paperwork from the Drs side and Will was an amazing advocate in holding the Dr accountable for their part to ensure there were no manageable delays.
I am so grateful that in our most difficult moments, the one call I know I can make and feel confident in, is my call to Ted Dickey.“

2925 5th St, Sachse“It’s been about 8 years since I’ve had to meet with a funeral director about a loved one and I must say that Raini Day was an exception. She didn’t mind answering all of the many questions our family had about the services. My biggest concern was that my sister [Janet Sebile] looked like herself and if she did not I did not want an open casket. I must say that Raini exceeded my expectations and she will never know how important that was to me, so I’m eternally grateful.
I want to personally Thank the staff for being so kind to our family during the services. Several of my family members stated how nice it was that the staff opened other rooms to make our family comfortable. To all of the kind staff at Charles W Smith in Sachse I say Thank you and God Bless you all!

3900 Rowlett Rd, Rowlett“I went with my mom to choose a plot for her. We where looking for a catholic cemetery and found this one. We booked an appointment with Lupe to show us the packages they had and plots available. My mom liked one in particular and we decided to purchase it. I was amazed how well its kept up and the detail they put in on maintaining it so nice, other cemeteris are falling apart. Type also informed us that they have mass every first Saturday for all the souls buried there, I was thrilled because we can visit mom (when she passes) and attend mass as a family. It's a perfect place to bury your loved ones, my wife and I are considering this cemetery as well.“

“A Heartfelt Thank You to Allen Funeral Home
Our family has known the Allen Funeral Home family for many years. They have supported us through the loss of a brother, our father, and most recently, our beloved mother. Each time, they stepped up with compassion, grace, and professionalism.
Losing a loved one is never easy. In times like these, you just want everything to be perfect. And if something doesn’t go exactly as expected, I’ve learned that all you have to do is speak up—they listen, and they genuinely care. From my experience, and that of my entire family, Allen Funeral Home has always gone the extra mile.
The truth is, most people don’t start thinking about funeral planning until they absolutely have to. That’s why I encourage anyone reading this to sit down with a pen and paper, ask questions, and educate yourself ahead of time. The staff at Allen will guide you every step of the way. There are no “dumb” questions, and they will treat every concern with patience and respect.
I’m currently making arrangements to prepay for my own end-of-life plans—not because I’m afraid, but because I want to spare my family the burden of wondering what I would’ve wanted. It’s one of the most loving gifts you can leave behind.
God bless the Allen Funeral Home family. Thank you for being a consistent source of comfort and support during our most difficult times.“
