Certified Lymphedema Therapist, Licensed Massage Therapist, Society for Oncology Massage Preferred Practitioner. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD,) massage and cupping therapy, and more. Whether you are undergoing treatment or have been cancer-free for decades, effects of treatment often need massage modifications. Oncology trained means a massage more tailored to your needs, reducing risk of late onset or long term massage-related complications. MLD was developed to support the immune system; it can also be helpful for post-surgical swelling. It is one aspect of CDT, the "gold standard" treatment for lymphedema and edema. Practice now limited to MLD, Decongestive Therapy for lymphedema, and oncology related sessions.
