Kodou African Hair Braiding

You guys did a great job my kids loved their hair.

I usually have good things to say about this shop but the owner Kodou went up on prices and if you go there she’s gonna do what she wants to do on your hair instead of what you want I literally watched a client come in and ask for kinky twist and she said she should get box braids or micros because her hair was too natural for the twist I got my hair done in micro braids and she stopped braiding down like she use to and my hair is already tangled and matted after one day and I’m sitting up as I write the review and I’m braiding all my braids down so they can last because I paid 200 dollars to get them done when it use to be 180 I though she was a nice person but I will not be going back I have to find another professional place to go when I got there she was in the bathroom and talking on the phone the place wasn’t cleaned from the night before so I was just waiting as she cleaned she called help and the lady that did the back of my hair wasn’t professional I have big and small braids all over the back of my head then she left for like a hour and a half to get something to eat and left me with the lady that didn’t do a professional job I’ll NEVER go back she has changed and I hate I paid for something I have to fix.

Kudou African hair braiding is guaranteed to turn heads. I always receive the most professional service from Kudou and her staff. This is my fourth appointment and I have been braided by them all, even some at the same time. Regardless of how many braiders at one time, who begins or who finishes; each time my braids have been extremely NEAT, FULL and all identical and done in a timely fashion (which I appreciate, I hate to SIT). Nevertheless even months later my braids remain intact, looking amazing and continue to receive soo many compliments. I DO NOT mind paying for their time and their TRADE!! Definitely worth the pain and money. These ladies are blessed with gifted hands and remember beauty can sometimes be painful.

Every time I go here the environment is pleasant and my experience is amazing! I love to hear the laughter, definitely a family atmosphere. I enjoy looking around at all the amazing and beautiful crafted styles! There is definitely some talent in this place, I'm never disappointed. Mrs. Kodou got me right on my visit, as always; she knows how to style my hair with those troublesome areas, making me feel comfortable and confident!
If you haven't been there yet, I encourage you to go and get the experience for yourself; you'll be happy that you did!

Took 12 hours to do a curly knotless bob there was way to many distractions and disruptions almost any and every little thing cost 190 and if u want you hair closer to your butt that’s 400 dollars…..it’s not worth the time ….there are 4 braids but mostly 2 are working when there not chasing da screaming toddler that’s there as well oh and there’s services takes way longer then 4 hours

Made an appointment on June 18th for a 9:30 am appointment on June 22nd. Arrived at 9:15 am and she told me that it was first come first serve at 9:00 am. When I spoke with her, I told her 9:30 am and she agreed. Today of the appointment she said come back Sunday. I told her I had something to do tomorrow. I would not go to this shop at all. She's very unprofessional.

Kodou was very nice and professional. I highly recommend and I will be going back. My braids are very neat.

I love coming to this beauty shop she does a great job on your hair and you get your money's worth plus she provides the hair I suggest whoever want to get their hair braided to come to miss kodou

I recently found Kodou after waiting over an hour after my appointment time for another braider and left.
I called to inquire about getting a same day appointment and thank GOD I was able to get in later that evening.
As a cancer survivor still on some pretty Gnarley meds my hair is fine, thin and cannot take a lot of pulling. And dealing with hair during cancer is pretty stressful.
I shared that information with Mrs. Kodou and I feel so pretty!! There is no pulling! No tightness! I appreciate finding her and will NEVER go anywhere else!
