Dr. Twomey has been my cat’s vet for over 4 years (after two other vets pushed for me to put him down). Dr. Twomey had the compassion to believe in my fur baby and continue treating him, seeing that he has a good quality of life even though he is paralyzed from his rear legs. He never judged my decision and immediately took action to care for him 4 years ago…and still remembers him to this day. 💛 Dr. Twomey is incredibly kind, and I don’t see myself ever changing vets.

Dr. Twomey is the best vet I’ve ever known!!! He not only takes extremely great care of my babies but also takes time to explain test results and information to put my mind at ease. Also, their diagnostic equipment is second to none! Better x-rays than at most human facilities I’ve known. I love the staff and have always had incredible experiences at Shelley Drive Animal Clinic. They really do love and care for their patients like their own! I now live in Dallas and still drive to Tyler to see Dr. Twomey for the best care!!! I found A kitten on the street and didn’t know where to take her so I brought her there and they let me relinquish my rights and I guess somebody who works there took her. But a friend of mine has a puppy she can’t take care of and I called to see if they would let me do the same. The lady who answered the phone had a snarky attitude saying “well that was when somebody that worked here wanted that kitten, we don’t just take every animal off of the street” and while I understand that, theres a better way to talk to people. I remember the First Lady I spoke with being that way too, very snarky and passive aggressive. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m a younger girl or if they just like to speak to people like they’re stupid but I’m not a fan of it. I appreciate them taking the kitten and understand that may not be “their job” but as far as I’m concerned theres a better way to communicate that. I’m 18 years old, not 8, treat me like an adult.

Called for a pet emergency while I’m visiting from out of town (my regular vets office 20 hrs away was already closed) and the receptionist I talked to was insanely rude and told me they couldn’t help me. I travel regularly and often have to consult new vets about my dogs and have never had a problem or been treated so poorly.

Best vets all around! They took excellent care of our dogs for many many years! The heart and compassion they show is outstanding’ from the front desk who are always helpful, sympathetic and understanding to the vets knowledge and skills in handling of our sweet furry babies. When we needed them the most they were there and ready ! So much appreciated ?

It’s funny that I take my baby to Shelley Drive animal clinic and when I called to get her in all ways that I can’t get her in.. My daughter used this clinic and she didn’t have a problem getting in but every sense we come it’s a problem.I am a black Women feel like the business don’t want us to come there.I have been in there setting and listening to them on the phone and the first thing come out say sure I work you in .??????
