I can't say enough about the care I received while I had an unexpected ICU visit and then to the floor after several days in ICU. The amount of compassion was beyond any experience I have had at Christis and there have been many. The nurses on BT ICU amd the nurses on DT for room 380..I think med surg...we're absolutely 💯 % on their game amd we're so professional. I honestly cannot express my deepest praises that these nurses had for me and always seemed genuinely sincere. My husband was seen at the ER with shortness of breath. The ER doctors, nurses and RT’s were phenomenal. However, the hospitalist, Dr Andrew Philpott was not. He was scary, sarcastic, unclear in his communication, was dramatic and loud . To the point to where I thought he was kidding. I am a firm believer in letting healthcare professionals do their jobs and trusting them with their decisions but this man did not in my opinion send the message of the patient being in a safe place. I was told that he is normally very calm. This was not the case. Maybe he was tired? I’m not sure. Whatever it was can only be described as flat out bizzar
My Dad had a heart procedure at the location in Tyler. He couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful all the staff are. I too agree with him. The most caring people in every phase of his stay and procedure. I highly recommend Christus Hospital and physicians for all your medical needs!
