About Golf Clubs at The Tribute
The Tribute at The Colony Golf Club is a beautiful lakeside locale situated on a peninsula, offering two well-maintained courses, driving ranges, and practice areas. Known for its true links style, the course is open off the tee and gets the wind off Lake Lewisville, creating a challenging and fun experience. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens are in great condition, although the greens may run a little slow after being punched recently. The courses are comfortable to play on and provide great views of the lake, with a Scottish feel that adds to the charm. The practice facilities are tremendous and welcoming staff make visitors feel at home. The clubhouse offers a stunning view during sunset and is perfect for a round of golf or special events. The private room on the top floor features a private balcony, bar, and bathrooms, making it ideal for rehearsal dinners and celebrations. The venue is also praised for its excellent service and gluten-free options available on the menu, including flavorful salads and fresh features, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Although some areas like fairway bunkers and cart restrictions could improve, the overall experience at The Tribute is unique and enjoyable, offering great value and a top-notch experience for golfers and diners alike.
Shout out to Lauren and Taylor for their amazing work handling events! As a vendor, I appreciated their attention to detail and composure in fast-moving situations. Thanks again for all you and your staff do.
A standout golf destination in The Colony with 36 holes across two beautifully designed courses — the Scottish-style Tribute and the classic American Old American — that many golfers praise for challenge, scenic lake views and well-kept fairways. Regulars note excellent practice facilities and friendly staff, though greens fees lean toward the higher side.
One of the best golf experiences we have ever had! Dom (the starter) kicked it off with great hospitality. We ended up playing with a member who was so gracious and invited us to SMU tailgate the next day (UL vs. SMU). Little slow play frustration as there were numerous singles out on a Friday afternoon. But worth the wait! Played Old American and can't wait to play the other course when we get back down there!
