He probably spent 10 minutes combined blowdrying off hair, brushing him down, giving him water, etc., and never once did Dave show a hint of impatience or irritation with the steady stream of interruptions and redirections — all on top of a sharp-looking cut. “On vacation and needed a trim. Walked in and was greeted right away. Had to wait until a father and his sons got there haircuts done due to them being there first. Watched cartoons with the kids that where there getting a trim themselves. It was my turn in no time flat. The barber asked all the right questions. Trimmed my hair and beard up. He was engaging but not overly talkative, which I like. Would recommend for sure.“

“Tried this establishment as part of the search for a new barber after leaving my tried & true in Huntsville. It is a family-run business with at least 3 siblings and their mother taking care of hair and beards. I made an appointment with Danny and he was quick to send me a text with directions and confirmation of my time slot. Danny was friendly, easy going, and it was nice to talk to a long-time local about the area. A hair cut was only $25 and I added a beard trim for another $10. It is more than I wanted to spend, but I realize I've been spoiled by The Cajun Barber.“

“I had a harrowing night on the square trying to form music for a crowd of drunken college morons no damn near mobbed me and my dog in Oblivion. Mario is the owner and he was sitting outside of a bar as I walked by. This man engaged and was kind to me and even let me use space inside of his shop to repair my equipment so that I can perform. He gave me an open door to come back and perform anytime I like. I love this business and the person that runs it. I've been shaving my head and pretty much balls since I was 19 years old so I don't know much about haircuts but I do know the character of people or honest and engaging and I surely do appreciate that this business exists and that has been there for so long it put some salve on a pretty difficult trip to San Marcos.
