“4.5 Stars (Rounded up to 5)<br><br>We had an overall excellent experience working with UBuildIt in Schertz to build our home. We are very pleased with how the house turned out, and we had positive experiences with most of the subcontractors throughout the process.<br><br>Our consultant, Ron, was amazing and supportive from start to finish. He answered my many, many questions with patience and was always willing to help guide us through the process. Having someone so responsive and knowledgeable made a huge difference.<br><br>My only real critique involves the budgeting process. UBuildIt gathers bids from multiple subcontractors, and when creating the budget submitted to the bank, the lowest bid was often used. Unfortunately, that was not always the subcontractor we ultimately chose, and in some cases the bids did not include all the work that was actually needed. This led to several line items going over budget during construction.<br><br>That said, we still finished the overall project under budget, which we were very happy about. I do think the process could be improved by reviewing bids in more detail and selecting subcontractors before finalizing the bank budget.<br><br>Overall, we are very happy with our home and grateful for the support we received throughout the build process.”
