I spent over one hundred dollars on produce from River City Produce and more than half of what I received was in unacceptable condition. The tangerines were bruised, leaking, and literally falling apart. Every single case of strawberries had visible mold. The cauliflower had large black spots and the blackberries completely fell apart once rinsed. This was not just disappointing, it was a health hazard. Fresh produce should never arrive in this condition, especially from a business that promotes itself as a quality provider. Because of the severity of the issue, I reached out after someone suggested on TikTok that I call and speak with Tutti. She initially seemed very understanding and told me I would receive a full refund for the spoiled produce. Unfortunately, that promise was not kept. Instead, they refunded me only about twenty dollars which did not even cover a fraction of the rotten items I received. When I pointed this out and explained that the refund did not reflect the total amount of unusable produce, I received no further response to my email. To make matters worse, when I began leaving honest but polite comments on their TikTok videos about my experience, instead of addressing the issue, they deleted my comments and eventually blocked my account. That kind of behavior shows a lack of transparency and accountability. It is deceitful to remove negative feedback rather than correcting the situation and making it right for customers. The way River City Produce handled this problem was extremely poor. They had every opportunity to resolve the issue fairly and keep me as a customer, but instead they ignored my emails, gave a partial refund, and attempted to silence my concerns on social media. It is very telling that many other reviews on Google describe similar issues. This does not appear to be an isolated situation, it looks like a pattern. Selling produce in this condition is not only unethical but dangerous. Moldy fruit and spoiled vegetables can easily make customers sick and that is a serious public health concern. I plan to file a report with the Better Business Bureau and the local health department because this goes beyond bad customer service and is a matter of consumer safety. I will also be posting the pictures of the rotten produce in my Google review so that others can see what I experienced for themselves. Deleting images on social media does not erase the truth. River City Produce managed this situation terribly. They lost my trust completely and I would strongly caution anyone considering buying from them to think twice. Businesses that care about their customers do not operate this way.
