North Central Federal VA Clinic is a healthcare facility that provides services to veterans. The commissary provides the services for which it exists, and doesn't have some of the options available at local grocery stores (with the cost savings passed to its customers), It was clean, well stocked with a variety of items, but had the limitations imposed by available space. With respect to inventory, it would be generally similar to one of the few smaller HEB stores in the San Antonio area. Most notable for me was the comparatively limited supply of meat. The beef was mostly 'Select' quality, and cuts didn't compare well to HEB beef (and neither compares well to Costco that stocks mostly Choice beef with a smaller array of Prime cuts). Never a problem , very professional staff always putting veterans 1st. Operation is as smooth as silk !
The doctors are very professional and you can get all your prescriptions filled and pick them up there , also the whole staff has a very caring attention to your health needs . Appointments can be made to fit around your schedule to help make everything smooth and in the proper time .
Easy and fast. Will be better to reach when 1604 construction is done. No enrollment support on site. Imaging was expert, professional, polite and fast. A lot of people were waiting in the main area (not imaging), but it was early arrivals at 8am. They desk attendant (security) also got my questions resolved. Back office folks were also fast and efficient.
