My husband was placed in the inpatient program in March and was doing very well. When doing vitals on day four, his oxygen level was low so they took him to the ICU and would not let him back into the inpatient program.Fast forward to being released and was told by his Psychiatrist about the outpatient program. Got him started and he was enjoying it. Because of being laid up in the hospital for 8 days, his mobility was a little off, but was getting better every day. It blows my mind that here we are in 2026 with such shameful state our society has to offer someone who is mentally sick. There's not one beneficiary or multi millionaire in this country that can reform this part of the health system? It's absolutely deplorable. The crazy people are the ones who stand by and accept this. It's inhumane. Love has definitely grown cold.

My mother and I drove from Laredo to this hospital to check on my sister in the Behavioral Health Emergency Room. We were already very worried and unfamiliar with the hospital layout.

As visitors from Laredo, we had no idea where we were supposed to go in such a large hospital. A very helpful nurse kindly directed us to the rooms in the back. However, shortly afterward we were approached by Nurse Katie.
