Golf - Fort Sam Houston Golf Course

The Fort Sam Houston Golf Course offers a challenging golfing experience with a mix of trees, water hazards, and hilly terrain. While the course may not be in perfect condition, with some bare patches and poorly maintained traps, it provides good value for 18 holes and a cart. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels. Recent visitors have noted that the course is well-maintained, with beautiful scenery and a layout that’s both challenging and fun. The pro shop staff is helpful, and the course is suitable for players with a driver, pitching wedge, and putter. However, some players have experienced waiting behind groups of four and difficulty playing through. The practice range is small and doesn't have tees or flags, and the old range ball dispenser is being updated. Overall, the course is worth a visit for those looking for a good round of golf in a friendly environment.
