Brittany is THE BEST! I’ve been going to her for the last 8 or 9 years and I can’t imagine not having her do my hair. She’s professional and does an amazing job with my hair. She grew it out from a relaxer to 100% natural and long. We’ve braided it, colored it and everything else. No matter what, she keeps it healthy and gorgeous. People ask all the time is that my real hair and of course it is! All thanks to Hair Dr. Roberts.

I was recommended to Dr. Roberts, so I thought it would be a great experience with her. I appreciated her having consultations with me and recommending different hair care products to help with my natural hair journey. She even took the time out to provide step by step instructions on how to make some of her products. It was too much for me to handle, so I decided to leave it to the professional. I was fully committed to pay her on a monthly basis for the upkeep of my hair.
Unfortunately, I cannot give her a five-star rating. I noticed that she likes to talk about how hard her life can be right when it's time to pay and leave a tip. It's okay to vent, but the timing seems calculated.
One day I came in for a consultation and before I left, she told me she would give me a discount on my wash and go appointment. I never asked for a discount, she just gave it to me. On the day of the wash and go appointment, everything was pleasant until I reminded her about the discount. That is when her attitude changed. In summary, she felt like she put in a lot of work to detangle my hair, and she felt like I should have to pay the full price. So, she gave me a partial discount. The issue I had with this situation was that she volunteered a discount to me. If you tell a customer that you will give them a discount, you follow through with that agreement. It is unfortunate that she underestimated how much work detangling my hair would be, but that is not fault. The right thing to do would have been for her to give the FULL discount since that was the agreement, and in the future, don't give out discounts. Even with that incident, I was still willing to go back to her because I really liked the work she did.
The next appointment, which was my last, she was very quiet. She put on a movie the whole time. Okay, that was fine. At the end up of the appointment, I talked about seeing her again and then I inquired about her retiring (she had discussed this in previous appointments). She told me she was retiring the following week. I thought that was odd because when I mentioned to her about future appointments, that would have been the perfect time to bring up the retirement, but she never did until I directly asked about it. Anyways, I left her shop with product still visible in my head because she says it would dry up in 10 minutes, but it never did. I had to dab my hair with a towel to get the product out once I drove the 30 minute commute back home. This whole time I am thinking she was going to retire, but I was surprised to find out that you can still book an appointment on her website 🤔. I'm unsure what to think of that, but IF she is still in business that means she just didn't want to deal with me anymore. Ouch.
So, are you really retired?

There is a horrible myth going around that says "if you are black your hair will not grow past a certain length." WRONG! That just means you haven't been shown how to properly care for your hair. Brittany has been my stylist for the past 12 years. There is a reason why she is called the "hair doctor" and it's because she is a doctor. She approaches every client based on their needs and teaches them hair care. Her patience is unbelievable! Because of her extensive knowledge, my hair is healthier and longer than it's ever been before! Oh and did I mention she is ALWAYS on time. Punctuality has never been an issue, which we all know is rare in this industry. She has been with me through dating, marriage, family loss, marathons, tough mudders , training for ultramarathons and giving birth to my baby (including hormonal hair loss after baby, which she got to grow back!). She's more than just a stylist, she is a true friend and I always look forward to our appointments. If anything, I just want to say thank you for everything you do for us, you truly have a gift!

Brittany is amazing!!! I was very nervous going in to my appointment due to past previous hair disasters. I quickly felt like I was in a safe and trusting environment. She explained the process along the way and kept her word that it would be all natural. I was scared of any chemical treatments. I have never had my hair done this beautiful before!! I was so frustrated and ready to cut my hair off due me not understanding or knowing how to style/take care of my hair. Please call Brittany for your next hair appointment you will NOT be disappointed!!! She has magical hands and is a very good person!!

Is this thing on, is there a negative 5 star rating. Just don't, save yourself the headache and find a professional business as that is NOT what you will get here. I've never seen a business operate this way and honestly I have no clue how she hasn't been shut down. Picture it, Austin 2021 - random text and email chains yelling at customers, cursing stating what you won't put up with and that those who are the offenders know who they are what ma'am we're not friends I'm a client who doesn't miss appointments and pays their bill -I AM NOT YOUR FRIEND. If you're having issues with customers you should Individually contact them in a respectful and professional way and not send mass texts to all of your clients. You also can not send demand emails to clients the night prior to an appointment demanding a triple payment because you had an epiphany that you needed to increase your prices. Look I support small businesses but this is not a business it's mayhem and foolery. Get it together lady and instead of calling yourself Dr. Robert's it may be a good idea to actually see a doctor.

Poor customer service. Yes I wanna have a very poor customer service skills. She do not communicate with customers when she's running late or she will not be able to do your hair at your appointment time.
