Based on guest reviews, The Reserve at Richardson is a fantastic facility that provides wonderful care and therapy. The staff is respectful, friendly, and professional, with individuals like Chisholm, an outstanding Patient Care Technician who is professional, helpful, and shows great care for patients. Another staff member, Sunshine, was so sweet that the room felt filled with love and care. The facility offers a refreshing atmosphere with cleanliness and well-kept facilities. One guest noted that from the moment they walked in, they could feel its charms. The care team provides excellent medical attention and genuine compassion. Head Nurse Jennifer corrected a rocky start by getting all the required information for a patient’s recovery. The chef prepares wonderful meals that patients genuinely enjoy. The facility is a 129-bed facility that represents the next generation in transitional, short-term care with around-the-clock clinical support and a comprehensive rehabilitation program. A guest whose sister was paralyzed from the waist down received consistent occupational and physical therapy, and with dedicated help, she was able to stand on her own. The patient-centered philosophy focuses on the overall experience with a personalized plan of care that promotes comfort, dignity, and well-being. The welcoming environment and great customer service make it a place guests would confidently recommend and return to if needed.
This facility would have gotten a 5 star if it wasn’t for nursing staff taking 1-1.5 hours to provide pain medication when asked for. I know they are busy but 1-1.5 hours in pain before you receive pain meds, and then it takes another 45 mins to start to kick in. All other staff is AMAZING. It wasn’t just our family member having issues with medication and the nurses. Multiple other patients, and family members also expressed grievances throughout our stay with medication that must be giving at a specific time, or pain medication given in a reasonable timely manner. I had such a fear of skilled nursing facilities when my sister had cancer and her husband has Parkinson’s. My sister passed away and when her husband needed skilled nursing, I panicked! But God led me to the Reserve and it has been a such a fantastic facility. My whole view of skilled nursing has changed. He had such wonderful care and therapy. They were so respectful and friendly. The medication nurse with a beautiful voice sang Happy Birthday to him! Then Sunshine that came at 3 pm was so sweet, we felt like the room was filled with love and care!
