About Torres Music Academy

Torres Music Academy is located in Historic Downtown Plano. The academy offers music lessons in piano, guitar, and voice to all ages and styles. Mr. Jose is very patient, encouraging, and knowledgeable. His lessons are well-structured, making learning both enjoyable and productive. He doesn’t only motivate students through positive reinforcement but teaches them music theory. Students learn how to read sheet music and understand it. The teaching is full of energy and excitement. Mr. Jose is very friendly and relatable, which helps students feel more comfortable singing in someone else’s presence. He is excellent at picking out songs that give a good challenge. Students have witnessed themselves grow and love piano. Mr. Torres is a really great piano teacher; every time students go, he is excited and happy to teach. The academy is exceptional for children to truly learn how to properly play and learn music. It teaches them completely, giving students a solid foundation and knowledge of their instrument. The academy is highly recommended to others.

We absolutely love Mr.Torres and cannot recommend him enough. He is incredibly kind, sweet, and always smiling. From day one, he has made my child feel comfortable, valued, and encouraged.

He is extremely patient and loving. He always gives my son the time he needs to think and answer, never rushing or pressuring him. Instead, he gently guides him, listens attentively, and consistently offers positive encouragement and compliments that truly build confidence.

I feel completely at ease bringing my child to his lessons, knowing he is learning in a calm, supportive, and nurturing environment.

If you’re looking for your children to truly learn how to properly play and learn music (piano for mine) then Torres Music Academy is exceptional. Jose doesn’t only motivate my three kids through positive reinforcement but teaches them music theory. If they choose in the future to switch to another instrument they have learned how to read sheet music and understand it. They were at other music schools but this one teaches them completely. I am very happy and pleased to have my kids at Torres Music Academy and have witnessed them grow and love piano.

Mr. Torres is a really great piano teacher, everytime we go he is excited and happy to teach us, I also take vocal lessons and he does a really great job, my little sister just started piano and everytime we go she is excited to start her new lesson. Sincerely, Mía your student!
