“Overall, I’ve had a good experience here. The stylists are very talented, the shop has a nice environment, and both times I’ve visited, I was happy with the work.
One thing I really appreciate is their availability. And I don’t mean they have openings because they aren’t busy, they actually seem to have a lot of business. They just do a great job of keeping enough availability to accommodate new and returning customers. Both times I needed an appointment, I was able to go online and find something that worked for me. They offer appointments seven days a week, which is extremely convenient and honestly one of the biggest reasons I chose them.
My biggest concern is sanitation between clients. With so many different people coming through a salon and so much going around these days, I personally would feel more comfortable seeing the client chairs wiped down between customers, hands washed or sanitized before moving to the next client, and reusable tools or materials cleaned or disinfected as appropriate. They may very well have sanitation procedures that I simply haven't seen, so I don't want to assume that they don't. I just don't want another client's hair/scalp hygiene transferred to me, and I'm sure the next client wouldn't want mine transferred to them.
The guest seating area is also very tight and can feel crowded.
I've also experienced some confusion with their booking apps. They use multiple platforms, and when an issue comes up, I've been told they don't have control over the app. That's a little frustrating from a customer's perspective when it's the booking system being used by the business.
Lastly, the pricing for boys' hairstyles can be on the higher side. On our second visit, my son received a few stitch braids, and the price was more than I expected for the style. That's probably the main thing that has me on the fence about becoming a regular customer.
Overall, though, they are talented, they do good work, the environment is nice, and they seem to manage a busy clientele while still making room for new customers. That's not always easy to find, especially when you need a good stylist without having to book weeks in advance.“
