I unfortunately had to put my Suzy Q down last night. It was the hardest experience but the staff at Pearland 288 were compassionate, understanding, and gentle throughout the whole time. They cared for my baby and me until the end and I will never forget it. Each person I met with along the way showed empathy and there were no signs of insensitivity you can sometimes experience with medical staff. I’ll miss you Su Su but we will meet again. ♥ I forgot to add they also sent me home with some of her fur and her paws and nose print as a keepsake.
First off the place was very clean, which means a lot when your fur baby has an injury. My fur baby got bit by a rattlesnake! I called her usual vet and they referred me to 228 Pearland animal emergency, because it was after hours and 288 was the closest with Anti-Venom I rushed her there and they were aware she was coming at first I was a little upset I was feeling very anxious and overwhelmed and I had to check her in. but once I checked her in they took her back and started working on her immediately. Our pup decided to eat an entire pack of gum and ended up with a severe case of xylitol poisoning. It was an incredibly scary week, and for a while we truly did not know what the outcome was going to be.
Throughout the week, the doctors and technicians who worked closely with our boy were amazing. We spent many hours at the ER visiting him, and watching the team care for not only him but the other pets coming in showed us just how much they genuinely care about the animals they treat.
