The people at this hospital saved my loved one’s life…….literally!! What 2 other ER’s wrote off as just the flu, when my loved one didn’t improve we came here. Due to his symptoms, we were signed in and brought to the back within 5 minutes! The doctor on duty, Michael Young Lu, went above and beyond! Nurse Tracie was simply amazing! The entire staff was all hands on deck that night! The Dr. ordered bloodwork and quickly spotted an issue with the platelet count. The staff immediately got on the phone and called EVERY HOSPITAL IN TOWN, even as far as Galveston to see who had a Hematology Dept that had AVAILABILITY to take my loved one in that night. My Daughter has a stomach bug or gastritis as I was told. I will start by saying everyone is very nice and seems very genuine but the conflicting information was just a deal breaker for me. Lady nurse says no Zofran for kids, male nurse says it’s ok, doctor says anti inflammatory at night, nurse said in the day. Pharmacy says twice a day. Doctor says no yogurt nurse says yes. It’s too much, I just want my baby to feel better. The biggest thing, I called to ask them if a grilled cheese was ok for my daughter to eat the next day twice I called twice and they both said yes, my daughter is in pain throwing up again and everyone is like no grilled cheese.
