I have been going to Essence for about 8 months to get crochet braids. The prices are reasonable, and I love the Christian music. The owner/shop manager really cares for her clients needs, but I’ve noticed she doesn’t expect the same of the other stylists. I overheard her tell my braid stylist that a customer complained that she made her braids too small. Rather than accepting her mistake, she blamed the customer. Meanwhile, she made the same mistake with me by making my hair too big and adding to many highlights! I had to spend extra time in the chair because she didn’t listen to what I wanted. I love how fast and friendly, they have been around for years! People sleep on this place but still the best in mocity, you can walkin anytime, plus they sell the hair there, and priced reasonably. I have never not liked my hair

I usually go to a place closer to my house but they have been pulling out my hair every summer due to how tight they braid so my cousin told me about this place which is a 45 min drive from where I live but I have to say it was worth it because they braid fast and I wasn't in pain and was able to sleep after w no headache. Only complaints I have is the 2 ladies that braided my hair said all of zero words to me even after I said good morning so i thought that was strange and a rude and the place looks like it needs a good deep cleaning BUT other than that my hair came out pretty and I was done in 3hrs.
