Always a joy to stay at The Gage Hotel! Hotel staff and accommodations are top notch. The restaurant is excellent and the bar loads of fun! Something quite magical about this place. We feel at home at The Gage and love everything about it!
We stayed here on our way to Big Bend National Park and sadly did not have time to take in all the amenities. Our "texmex" room was adequate, if a little used. However, I was surprised to be woken up in the early hours of the morning by a train. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly. We went to the restaurant next door which was very busy indeed and had an excellent meal and service surround by a lot stuffed animal heads.
Beautiful historic hotel. Pleasant staff and nice rooms with a coffee maker and mini fridge. Homemade muffins and fresh fruit. Great coffee. Continental breakfast is complimentary. They have a full restaurant if you’re looking for traditional breakfast. The grounds are well maintained and lovely pool.
