Oak & Steel Barbershop

I live in Summerlynn and saw that The G.O.A.T had recently opened up but wasn’t quite ready to get a hair cut yet. In hindsight, I should have come sooner.

I walked in on a Wednesday afternoon and it was just Erika and I. I told her what I thought about getting done and she flat out said No! Haha. After a chat, she showed me a picture and asked “what about this?” So, I trusted her and let the scissors do the talking.

Not only did she absolutely knocked it out of the park, the beard trim and neck shave were on point as well. Needless to say, I have found my new stylist.

I made a call yesterday morning on Labor Day and the store owner spoke to me on the phone. We had an emergency because my son got a hair cut the day prior and it did not look good and at 13 he wanted it corrected.

The appointment was set for 3:00pm and we arrived on time. They sat him in the chair and worked their magic! He was extremely pleased with the results as was I. The price was more than reasonable for a quality cut and the staff was freakin amazing! We laughed and cut up like old friends.

We will definitely be in every month or two from now on. This place makes you feel like home when you walk in. This is a prime example of how customer service should be… read full review

I took my young nephew to Oak & Steel, and our barber, Emma, was absolutely fantastic. Cutting a young kid’s hair can already be a challenge, but working with a child who has a different hair type takes real skill, patience, and understanding. Emma clearly knew exactly what she was doing and took the time to make sure his haircut came out great.

I was impressed with how well Emma worked with him. She really understands that kids don’t always sit perfectly, and instead of getting frustrated, she just rolled with it. Somehow, we made it through the entire haircut without me having to negotiate with him like I was trying to close a hostage situation, he is a picky boy.
