My kiddo already has really good confidence but this program really expanded it a bit further. So proud of this program and what it does for children. So glad we are part of this community!“

He has no prior experience with martial arts, so this is definitely new for us. The facility is so new & is always so clean and welcoming. The staff is absolutely TOP NOTCH!!!!! They are so kind, so knowledgeable, so patient & so helpful.
I’m really glad that we ended up at Gracie Barra and very much look forward to watching our son grow in flourish as he continues on this path. A major kudos to the owners and the entire staff of the Cedar Park Gracie Barra, our hats off to you all!“

The instructors have created an incredible environment that is rooted in discipline, respect, and fun. Through MMA training we have gained valuable life skills, become physically stronger and more confident. We’ve also built lasting friendships and become part of a community that feels like family. We can’t imagine not being a part of Invictus and highly recommend it to everyone. IMA!“

The instructors here are always respectful and are tough (only for the love of the art) but also caring. It has been a great experience and we all share a bond with the school and between us through our time and memories here! TANG SOO!P.S. This is not a belt factory like the teachers say, you really have to earn your rank here“

Thank you so much for all you do for the children. Also, the facilities are clean and the place is spacious and bright. Wonderful place for my son to learn wrestling.“

Located inside, Sports Center, 1420 Toro Grande Blvd, Cedar Park“I am a proud parent of a child who attended the Austin Shotokan Karate Academy from third grade through high school. My son has since graduated from college in 2023, and is looking to start his career, while attending graduate school.
Austin Shotokan Karate Academy has been extremely instrumental in preparing him, not only in learning patience, endurance, perseverance, or diligence, but in various characteristics that come with learning skills and techniques such as balance, stamina, leadership, and being a good listener team player.
After receiving his black belt in his senior year of high school, my son was awarded a full scholarship to play college football in Oklahoma. Playing the position of left tackle and left guard, my son informed his father and me, that without the skills he learned throughout his years in Sensei Chip’s dojo, he would not have been as prepared mentally or physically for what was required of him on the field every Saturday for four years as a starter.
We believe as a family that the Austin Shotokan Karate Academy is one of the best academies in Austin! We would highly recommend it to any parent who is seeking a professional karate school that focuses on the student, and not on belt status or money. Sensei Chip and the rest of his teaching staff are professionals and have a deep joy in what they do.
My son, husband and I recently visited the dojo, and we could see the excitement in the faces of each student who participated. Every student was engaged while Sensei Chip and his teaching staff actively worked with students throughout the dojo. Each teacher is assigned a group to ensure that proper techniques are being taught and that students are comprehending what they’re learning.
If you or your child are interested in learning karate and want to attend a school focused on good-quality, old-school training, please check out Austin Shotokan Karate Academy. I promise they won’t disappoint you! ?“
