“I absolutely love this salon! I would never go anywhere else. They do the best silk presses you could ask for. When my grandmother came to visit from California, I brought her here to maintain her weekly salon and she said her hair never looked better. Even better than her own stylist back in Cali!

Well most recently I brought my two youngest girls to get their hair done for back to school and that’s what prompted this review. Kynese did AMAZING! I even have one daughter who’s extremely tender headed and Kynese treated her with care and patience.

I highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants quality work and not to mention being in a black salon. There is something euphoric about being surrounded by our sistas that makes the salon visit almost a cultural experience. Thank you Dnique’s!!!!“

She spent time at the beginning listening to what I was interested in and liked and then gave me her expert opinions on what she thought would suit me and my hair. The haircut came out beautifully and I’m so happy with it! I also have some thinning areas and areas with no hair and she was super chill about it, which I really appreciated. Previous hairstylists have made comments and made me feel embarrassed, but I really felt at ease with her working on my hair. It was really fun chatting with her and getting to know her better too! “I met the owner, Pari, at my work place and she gave me some recommendations on what I should do with my hair. She seemed incredibly knowledgeable and passionate in what she does, so I decided to visit her business.
I booked a pedicure and a cut and color. My pedicure was done by Yvonne, she was friendly and flexible with my color options. Her work was gentle, clean and meticulous. My stylist, Marwa, greeted me while I was getting my pedicure; right off the bat, she was incredibly welcoming. She did a quick consultation and made me some fresh tea... the tea was delicious, thank you.
I wanted a cool platinum blonde buzz cut. Just getting the color done was a laborious process, but Marwa handled my hair beautifully; she made sure I was comfortable the entire time, my hair wasn't burning, and that I had enough tea to drink. In the end, it was worth the time and patience because the color looked better than I expected and the cut was exactly what I needed.
All in all, I had a great time, well worth the drive and the money. The salon itself is clean and elegant and you can tell the staff enough working together. Mawra is very skilled at her craft and has a beautiful personality, she was pleasant to be around.“
