My pup’s left eye was suddenly swollen shut with lots of green discharge around it, it was a Saturday morning so I called my go-to vet in Belton and they told me we’d have to wait in person 3.5-4hrs. No putting names down or call backs etc. They didn’t see any need for urgency, so I hung up with them and called around and Jarrell Animal Hospital answered. They put me on hold to ask the doc if my dog could be seen same day and the doc said bring her in now we’ll see her right away. The facility was clean and welcoming. Staff was very kind and gentle. Of course on Christmas Eve my dog, Alice Jane, gets sick! I called JAH’s office and Tanya told me to bring her in right away and she would make it work. Dr. Hammer came in and did a very thorough work up of my girl and was able to get us everything we needed quickly. I so appreciate them both for getting us in. Their care and dedication goes above and beyond and I am so thankful. To squeeze us in on a busy holiday meant so much and they certainly could’ve just sent us to the ER. Because of their work my mind has been put at ease and my dog is on her way to feeling better. To say I appreciate them both is such an understatement!
Jarrell Animal Hospital began caring for our two dogs in 2021 when we moved to this area. They’ve been professional, attentive and supportive. It was time to put one of our dogs down this year and I couldn’t think of a more caring, compassionate and humane team to walk us through the painful and heartbreaking process. We’ve since added a sweet boy puppy to our family and I know he’ll be taken good care of as well. Dr Hammer is great!
The reason for 4 stars is because I’m not thrilled about the upselling part of each visit. It’s obvious, so I have to prepare myself to say no to additional and most times unnecessary treatments. I think most places do this now… read full review
