Tough Luck Barber is a modern barber shop with an old school, laid-back vibe. The shop has a cool, welcoming space that makes you feel comfortable right away. It is undergoing impressive renovations and is quickly becoming a top spot in the city. The barbers are skilled, providing consistently excellent cuts and clear communication. They handle even very fine hair with a steady hand. The environment is very welcoming, with good vibes and conversation often happening around you. There is also a small area of resale and vintage items to browse while you wait. The booking process is seamless and the prices are reasonable and competitive. For a fresh, dope cut and a solid experience, this barber shop is highly recommended.

Had a great experience at Tough Luck Barber. Jonah did an incredible job with my haircut. He was great to talk with and knows his stuff. The shop has a cool, laid-back vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fresh cut and a solid experience.
I followed Kyle James to Tough Luck after his time at Bison, and I’m glad I did. I’ve tried just about every men’s barber and salon in Houston, and Tough Luck is hands-down the best. I have very fine hair that most barbers struggle with, but Kyle and the team here get it right every time. The cuts are consistently excellent, the communication is clear, and the booking process is seamless. The shop itself is undergoing some impressive renovations, and it’s quickly becoming the best barber shop in the city. Highly recommended.
Modern barber shop with that old school feel, they (the barbers and other patrons) seemingly always some sort of conversation happening around you that youll be able to chime in on! Very welcoming environment. They even have a small area of resale/vintage to browse while you wait. Jonah is my barber of choice when I feel like splurging on my self, always takes care of me really well and has a steady hand when handling his blade. In my opinion the prices are reasonable and or at the very least competitive with similar shops. If your looking for a new barber shop to frequent id give them a shot!
