About The Harris Center Southwest Community Service Center

The Harris Center Southwest Community Service Center receives mixed feedback from visitors. The ladies in the front do great, and the check-in process starts by understanding what is needed. The pharmacy staff are wonderful, trying to get meds out as soon as possible. The 3rd floor check-in staff are wonderful and caring people. Some caseworkers are described as the absolute BEST, always helpful and compassionate. One caseworker built great rapport and made the experience tolerable, being very professional and caring, with a caring soul. Another caseworker was very helpful with finding other resources. However, the waiting process seems forever just to get to a caseworker. One visitor felt scolded by an older lady who did no greeting or explained her role, making the visitor feel like a disturbance. The housing supervisor made it impossible to get assistance with rental assistance, acting like it is his money. There is also urgency to close while waiting for a ride, which is inconvenient. Overall, the center has excellent experience and coping skills for depression, drugs, and anxiety, with wonderful staff, though some interactions are difficult.

The ladies in the front do great, where it gets a little inconvenient is when your waiting for your ride. They are in such urgence to close. I came out dropping my stuff doing three things at a time. An older lady who didn't do no greeting or even explained what her roll, name was just was scolding me as if trying to make me feel like my presence disturbs her, almost as if evaluating me herself. Ugh makes me reconsider if I should continue my treatment but we'll see how it goes cause the waiting process seems forever just to get to a caseworker I have to see the doctor first. It's possiblly hurricane season. Just something to consider before doing outpatient in this...read full review

My appointment is as at 10:00 am with Doctor Vasanthi C. Janarthanan I called notified I was gonna be late I was told the grace period is 10-15 minutes I got here and was checked in at 10:15. I have been sitting for almost 2 hours nobody has updated me or seen me yet. I check for a update for the 2nd time at the window and let them know what’s going on & Pablo tells me the grace period is 7 minutes I’m new so I didn’t know but he will message the Doctor again since a message was sent when I checked in to see if she wants to proceed with the appointment. The doctor is unresponsive nobody can tell me anything and this is my first time being serviced at this location

This is to let Harris Health know HOW WONDERFUL each and every part of y'all are.
I come in kinda anxious And not really wanting to be there(It's a long trip).
I start at the Check in. That Lady(sorry I don't know your name), starts out the process by understanding what I need and then sending me off to the right place.
Next stop is the pharmacy. You guys rock trying to get my meds to me as soon as possible! Thank You! That's a big weight off my mind.
Next, it's 3rd floor check-in. Just wonderful and caring people!
I'm there over an hour early. I come out of the ladies room and everybody's looking for me! The Lab tech, the Vitals tech, and the Rn!
    WOW!!!!
    Kudos...read full review
