My Mother passed away on October 9th 2022 and choosing Carl Barnes funeral home was the best choice we as a family could have made. Shelby was so patient through the entire planning of mom's direct cremation. One would expect the bells and whistles when planning a traditional funeral but I feel our family was treated very well even though we weren't. Shelby made sure that the compassion was there and walked us through everything. Made sure that all mom's wishes were granted. The front desk staff was always joyous and nice and made sure each visit was as pleasant as possible. Even when there was a minor mishap (no fault of the funeral home), Shelby made sure to stay on top of the issue until it was rectified. I think the final act of kindness was recently when papers came in and Shelby called to advise they came in and the first thing after the hellos was how was your mom's memorial service!!
