We started our 1 yo German shepherd in training with Ben and Abby from beyond the dog in Houston and cannot say our praises louder. Our dog, Rin, was mouthy, jumped on people, and pulled on her leash. We recently adopted her and so we were unsure of her history and temperament around other dogs but she initially seemed reactive (or overly excited and not manageable) when seeing dogs afar. With the 3 Day a week / month long program, our world and hers has turned around! We all learned the skills to ensure we have a happy and well behaved dog for life. Treat training and use of consequences (not punishment!) as well as consistency in our actions and expectations of her. She has even enjoyed proper introductions to dogs and dog park time! We are going to continue our training with Ben for maintenance and really to train the humans some more!! Amazing and so thankful for their guidance and skills. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our two-year-old German Shepherd, Beck, participated in the board-and-train program for leash reactivity. We were so impressed with the professionalism and intentionality of Sean and the Beyond the Dog team throughout the entire process.
Since returning home, Beck has been much more even-tempered, loves playing with other dogs, and encounters other dogs well while on leash. The best part has been being able to bring him along and enjoy life with him without worrying about his reactivity. We are so grateful for this gift. Thank you, Beyond the Dog!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Abby at Beyond the Dog! When I first started working with her, I was feeling completely helpless with my rescue Weimaraner, Millie. She had significant stranger anxiety and was extremely reactive in public. If she spotted someone even blocks away, or really anyone within her line of sight, she would bark relentlessly. Walks had become incredibly stressful, and I honestly wasn’t sure how we were going to overcome it.
Thanks to Abby’s knowledge, patience, dedication, and guidance, the transformation has been remarkable! After a lot of hard work and consistency, Millie no longer reacts that way. We can finally go on walks without… read full review
