Frustrated they my regular veterinarian wasn't listening to me about the fact that my cat was sick, I called Compassionate Care Veterinary Hospital. Even though I was 19 minutes late for my appointment, they waited patiently for me. Dr. Metzger was very thorough and honest about my cat's condition and accommodating as to my wishes to do everything possible to save my cat. THANK YOU COMPASSIONATE CARE VETERINARY HOSPITAL!!!

From my initial phone call to make the appointment to checking out and everything in between five star is across-the-board. They always have the best interest in my pets and well as myself as a client. Definitely a family based practice!

We are a small animal general practice that was built in 1987 by Dr. Susan Fritz to serve the residents of Fredericksburg, Gillespie County, and the surrounding area. Dr. John Metzger purchased the practice in 2019 and continues to provide Compassionate Care to our clients and their animals.
