What happened to this cemetery? It is in horrible shape!! When I was growing up we lived next door to it. It was beautiful! I thought it was supposed to be maintained. I feel for the families who have their loved ones buried there. So shameful looking and what a dishonor to them. The whole surrounding area is shameful.

It breaks my heart to see this cemetery in such poor condition. We come here to visit and remember our loved ones, but instead of peace we are met with thorns, weeds, and an unkempt environment. It’s painful not being able to walk to the graves without worrying about being scratched or tangled in overgrowth. A cemetery should be a place of rest, care, and reflection — not a place families feel they cannot visit.

I have several family members who are buried there at Evergreen. I grew up visiting my grandparents, uncles and cousins several times a year and remembering how green, giant green healthy trees lined the cemetery. I just visited my grandparents headstone yesterday and I was in tears on the lack of care. I tell my children that it once used to look like the Jewish community cemetery, I understand it's older and lack of funds but how can we bring it back to somewhat of a respectable level. Is there some kind of committee or a city representative to speak to.
