Metro Paws Animal Hospital - Skillman

I have been a client at this location of MetroPaws for over 10 years, with the primary reasons being the excellence in medical care for our family pets, however, in my last visit the excellence in client care was also proven to be beyond anyone's expectation. Our highly fearful dog became lose in the parking area, zig-zagging across and up and down Skillman for approximately 15 minutes until he was caught. Without the help from clinic personnel, I fear what could have happened. I want to highlight Vanessa who brought out treats and an extra leash and, of course, Dr., Deresz who is brilliant! There is no better vet clinic for anyone's animal -

Cat parents STAY AWAY!! Read the 1 star reviews!! Trust me. The staff is completely incompetent. Sedated my cat and left her alone in her carrier for over an hour without notifying me or my husband that she wasn’t actually going to be treated today and that she could come home. Absolute monsters. They also can’t seem to get ahold of their records and history of your visits. I have to remind them wha’s going on with my cat every time??? And she’s had the same illness this entire time?? Seriously this place is a joke. They are also wayyy too packed and will give your animal the barest of bare minimum attention. I would avoid it all together. I’ve seen multiple people unhappy at the front desk… don’t waist your money and save your pets the trauma. It’s not worth it.

This was my first time at the Skillman location for my 5 year old Shelties tooth extraction. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and upbeat. Darren, the Senior surgical tech, was very calm and reassuring prior to my dog’s tooth extraction which was comforting. I was able to ask questions of our longtime vet, Dr. Jennifer Lavender, whom we adore. She also was great at clarifying any questions I had and explained the procedure in great detail. My dog also had his teeth cleaned and scaled at the same time he was sedated so everything worked out beautifully. I always feel very confident when I use Dr. Lavender for any procedure and appreciate her passion for what she does because it is A+++

I had a great experience at Metro Paws! The prices were very reasonable and the facility was nice. The receptionist wasn’t the most welcoming when we came in, but he was helpful and got us into a room quickly. The technician and doctor were thorough and sweet! They took great care of my baby. We will definitely recommend this location to our friends in Dallas.

Love this vet! I am new to Metro Paws and have brought one cat and one dog here so far. The receptionists are always wonderful - very helpful and friendly but professional. Two different vets I have seen were both great as well. They’re helping me keep my old man kitty as healthy as possible! Highly recommend!

The entire staff were outstanding, from check in to the techs, to the dr. I loved how everyone made the dogs’ comfort during the visit a priority. We’re so happy to have Metro Paws taking care of our family!

Oooo, my baby puts up a good fight when getting in his crate to go Vet visit not realizing momma is trying to keep him as healthy as possible
He was a very tiny rescue kitten have had him for 13 years
He's a spoiled brat but wouldn't have it any other way
