I can't thank John enough for his outstanding work on my 2 felonies.. He was instrumental in getting me a deferred sentence and significantly reducing my overall sentence. My daughter-in-law was accused of several drug charges. She did not have any drugs she just moved money but they called it ghost dope. I was referred to John Teakell by another attorney who is a friend. A federal indictment is a life changing event accompanied by fear and uncertainty. In the midst of this, John took my case. On 5/1/20, Teakell filed a case against me on behalf of a client about website DallasHelo I created 1/21/20 about a helicopter. I took down the website as a result of his filing, so his client got what he wanted, hence the two stars, but the person stopped flying in March 2020 due to Covid and I had planned to take it down anyway. The case was dismissed 8/18/21 for lack of activity.Teakell astonished me that:1. He wrote no arguments that the conditions for what he claimed were met. I filed a 36-page response, with 75 pages of exhibits, that showed none of the conditions were met, i.e. I had done nothing wrong. He never filed a reply.2. He wrote fifty-five (55) statements which were "inaccurate," i.e. blatant lies or misleading. I filed an 11-page Request for Production of evidence of the statements and he and his client never produced one spec of evidence to support his statements. .3. He wrote in the most sloppy, sensational, and unprofessional manner I have ever seen by an attorney, and I have worked with or against about 30 attorneys in the DFW area, and drafted my own filings in district courts, appeals courts, and twice to the Texas Supreme Court.Teakell contacted me after my first posting here and threatened to publish those falsehoods, which were filed under seal, here on Google if I did not delete my review. Perhaps that is why there are not more bad reviews here, that he threatens to defame such reviewers. I now question whether any of his reviews are real.

I highly recommend Mr. Teakell for any and all legal assistance. He is very kind, patient, and knowledgeable in federal criminal laws. When I first reached out to him, he gave me a free consult early in the night. Fast forward 5 months and I hired him to represent me in court.
