Setting up funeral arrangements for yourself can be emotionally draining. It wasn't until I left that I realized that I had talked almost two hours for a package that could have been done in 30-45 minutes. The agent was so kind. Imagine trying to get your job done between the client's breaths. But Vanessa did just that. She worked right through it, understanding my own personal grief. She managed to show me things I needed and things I didnt in my cremation packet. I think it was her smiles that kept me going. However, in the midst of this, I walked out with a new burial arrangement that fit me perfectly because of her. Thanks so much Vanessa.

Today was a hard day to make arrangements for my mother. Patrick Parker was our family service counselor and he was amazing. At a time where we needed hope, he gave us compassion, patience, empathy and understanding. He allowed us to speak and he listened to our requests. God truly worked through him as he was definitely used as vessel today for our family.
Thank you so much, Patrick. We are grateful for you!

On May 11, 2026, I learned that my little brother, Christopher McCuin, had passed away unexpectedly—a moment that changed my life and my family’s life forever.
Like so many families suddenly thrust into grief, I had no idea where to begin. I was overwhelmed with heartbreak while simultaneously facing the enormous responsibility of planning my brother's funeral. I was terrified of making a mistake. The pressure of making permanent decisions while processing unimaginable grief is something I would not wish on anyone.
Before making a decision, I carefully compared Singing Hills and Laurel Land with two other funeral homes in the Dallas area. But something about Singing Hills stood out to me immediately: I noticed that nearly every Google review had received a personal response from the staff. That told me this was a place that cared—not just during the arrangements, but long after families had gone home. My instinct told me to call Singing Hills, and it was one of the best decisions I could have made for my brother and our family.
From the very beginning, the staff met us with warmth, compassion, and professionalism.
Micah Hatcher went above and beyond in every way that mattered. During one of the most difficult periods of my life, he was exceptional. He was always available, accessible, responsive, and patient. No question was too small, and no concern was dismissed. His guidance gave me peace of mind when I needed it most.
Ms. Pamela at the front desk offered me something I will never forget: encouragement and prayer. In a moment when I felt broken and overwhelmed, she took the time to pray with me. Her kindness meant more than words can express.
Ms. Sonja was incredibly kind and comforting. She shared personal experiences with me that made me feel completely understood—not only in that moment, but every time we spoke. Her empathy was genuine, and her presence brought comfort during an unimaginably painful time.
Ms. Bertha patiently helped our family choose the perfect resting place for Christopher. She gave us time, grace, and guidance during a deeply emotional decision, and I will always be grateful.
Ms. Tarsha Goodwin ensured that every detail was handled with care and excellence. She made sure everything was exactly as it should be.
Most importantly, they cared for my brother with dignity. When we saw Christopher, he looked handsome and peaceful—as though he were sleeping. That final gift to our family is something I will carry with me forever.
To every member of the Singing Hills and Laurel Land team: THANK YOU. Thank you for treating my brother with honor and my family with compassion. In the darkest chapter of our lives, you brought light, comfort, and professionalism when we needed it most. You helped us honor Christopher with the dignity, compassion, and love he deserved, and that means more to our family than words can express.
With Sincere and Deep Gratitude,
— Kamille McCuin
