I couldn't walk or stand past about 5 minutes without my entire lower back, hip and leg locking up; this caused my world to shrink to accommodate this lack of mobility and increase of pain and stiffness. I went to multiple doctors and therapists trying to see if we could find a source and manage symptoms, and no one was able to hone in on the issue with the same immediacy that Rick did.
