Cannot say enough good things about this place! If you haven’t yet found your go-to spot for your hair needs, you should definitely check this place out. The people are personable and make you feel welcome from the moment you enter the door.
My major gripe, until now, about going to get my hair cut is not knowing what exactly I want/what would look best for me. After all, I am not the one with the specialized knowledge - the hair stylist is! Here, the stylists work with you and ask you questions targeted at discovering exactly what you are looking for. I have searched for a salon with stylists that I can trust to simply do what they believe is best with my hair. With 18|8, I have finally found that place.
Stylist: Phillip & Alex are both incredibly talented stylists and make you feel at-ease early on. I immediately got the sense that I could trust both.

I've been going to this salon for the past three years, and my recent visit was another fantastic experience! Philip, my go-to hairstylist, continues to impress me with his skill and attention to detail. He always takes the time to understand my hair needs and delivers a look that makes me feel confident and stylish. The salon's welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff make it a pleasure to visit. My only suggestion remains that the music playlist could be more diverse and modern - it's starting to feel a bit repetitive. Nevertheless, Philip's exceptional talent and the salon's overall excellence keep me coming back for more. Highly recommended!"

I won’t name the barber/stylist, as I don’t want to put that person on blast (we all have jobs and don’t need to be scorned publicly, hopefully). I signed up online for a $73 Executive Haircut. Everything was great from the reception area, I was offered a water and didn’t wait long at all. My barber stated she was out of it today which isn’t the most promising to hear before your hair is being addressed, but it was my error that I missed the foreshadowing. The haircut was decent enough, except for around the ears which was raised too high, and on my left ear there was a clear blunder where a patch of hair was shaved down to skin and not blended back in whatsoever. Unfortunately I didn’t see this until I left. When the cut was done I was greeted out, and had to inform the cashier that I didn’t get the Executive Haircut as none of the massages were done - the haircut was still $58. Again, not here to shame anyone in particular, but I won’t return, especially for the price point.

Fantastic experience. My barber, David, was attentive, personable, and thoughtful. I really appreciated how he would check in with me throughout the cut - it felt collaborative so that I wouldn't leave with something i'd have reservations about. I love my cut and have already communicated with David that I would be back. The salon itself is clean and staffed with kind individuals at all levels. Happy I came across this place and gave them a shot! Gentleman, David is your guy!

The 5-star review is for David. I am particular when it comes to how I want my hair cut, and for the better part of a year, I tried a few stylists that just didn’t work out, until I randomly walked into the salon and met with David.
David gives a solid haircut and takes his time to ensure you’re getting exactly what you ask for. I appreciate the attention to detail he provides. If you’re looking for a new barber or just passing by and need a great haircut I’d reach out and ask for David .
