Dr Bugarin and staff were amazing.. I went in with pain to my lower back and they were able to fix me and on top of that I am going to start a weight loss program with them as well ☺️ Very excited to have met everyone them… It felt like family .. from the front office to the nurse and his wife Silvia and Nurse Practitioner that I had met to Dr John Bugarin ♥️♥️ I highly recommend this place and will be returning for more visits…. Thank you 🙏🏼 again… From the Giggle Girl

I have never been a big fan of going to a doctors office, dentist, hospital for pretty much anything. The staff here at central medical center really do take care of you and make sure they address all of your concerns. I have had a number of appointments here and never leave this place not having learned something new which is great. I would highly recommend this place to any and all people who are looking to improve their general health, or just to get a regular little appointment going.

Amazing care, addressed underlying issues and the treatment was extremely proficient. They truly care about their patients and their recovery. Additionally, the staff is amazing.

I'm giving CMC 5* because I don't want to hurt their rating based on unfortunate circumstances. However, my experience was more like 2*.
    ----------
TLDR: This is a cool facility, but it's more of a glorified chiropractor's office than it is a "primary care doc" experience. Their website is misleading, imo. I waited 1 hour to be seen, which was unfortunate and probably not the typical experience. I didn't receive any treatments, so I can't comment on that at all. I'm disappointed because under normal circumstances, I'd be intrigued by their services. But I'm not sure I'll go back.

Their facility and services seem pretty cool. They take an integrative approach incorporating medicine, alternative treatments such as laser therapy, and chiropractic treatment.

My issue is I was under the impression based on their website that they were a primary care clinic. The website mentions “primary care doctor” and "family medicine" but there aren’t any medical doctors there. They say they offer "conventional medical care" but there's nothing conventional about their facility. Unconventional can be great, so it's fine - if that's what you're looking for.

They're overseen by an MD (and maybe sometimes they come in to the clinic? I'm not sure), and they have a pain doctor who comes in twice a month. Otherwise, it's a nurse practitioner and chiropractor.

    My experience:

It was my first time at this center, so I didn't know what to expect. I thought it would be like other medical clinics, so that was my fault for assuming. Prior to my appointment, I had to fill out two sets of "paperwork" online, which were a bit redundant. I had to list my medications twice, issues twice, surgeries twice, etc. I've had something like 11 surgeries and I'm on a lot of meds, so I found that irritating, but typical.

I got to my appointment and I'm told I need to fill out a sheet with my name and date. I didn't know I needed to give the sheet back to the receptionist in order to be called for my appointment. Because I didn't give the sheet back, I was never called for my appointment. At a regular doctor's office, once you check in, you get called for your appointment. I took for granted they would recognize I was there (had given them my ID and insurance card), had an appointment, and was waiting to be seen. It was my fault for thinking they'd call me for my appointment after seeing I had arrived, but it was their fault for not paying attention to me or their schedule.

There were a lot of people waiting so I didn't notice others were seen ahead of me. I waited almost an hour before I asked how much longer (again, it's not uncommon to wait for a doctor, so I didn't really think anything of it), and that's when I realized they basically just forgot about me (I was also sitting right in front of the reception desk by the treatment area where you get called back, so I wasn't hidden).

I can't comment on their treatments because I only spoke to the chiropractor for 30 minutes before I had to leave. He hadn't gone over any of my paperwork, so he didn't know anything about me. I have a lot of problems and neither the chiropractor nor I was comfortable with him giving me an adjustment without understanding my conditions better. I briefly met the NP, but didn't have time to go over everything again. She asked if I wanted any "shots" but I couldn't stay to ask what kind of shots or why I'd need them.

I imagine a lot of their services aren't covered by insurance, so it's possible their treatments could get pricey. That's one reason I hesitate to go back. Again - this is something their website doesn't specifically address (cost). So,

After spending the last 9 years with chronic lower back and hip pain, I FINALLY convinced my husband to seek the care of N.P. Sylvia and Dr. Bugarin. They took the time to sit down and speak with him about his laundry list of symptoms, run appropriate tests, and get the imaging needed to truly get down to the root of all his issues. When we first went in, I was very honest with them, we were expecting him to need procedures and injections, however we know our insurance policy requires a certain number of conservative treatments prior to getting those things done, so this was supposed to be a 1st step in a long process kind of thing for us. But, between the physical therapy they offer in the office, and adjustments with Dr. Bugarin, my husband is living a pain-free life and it’s all thanks to them! Not to mention the insight N.P. Sylvia was able to give us into what exactly was going on with my husband’s health and why he felt so crummy all the time. She quickly found he was (unbeknownst to him) a type 2 diabetic with an A1C of OVER 15.5, with his bad cholesterol at over 1,800!! No wonder he felt so terrible, he was a heart attack waiting to happen. In 3 months’ time, by following Sylvia’s treatment plan and lifestyle changes, he is now very proudly back down to a 5.8 A1C, and on a well regulated regime that will has brought his health all the way back into center and where he needs to be! We are BEYOND grateful to N.P. Sylvia for everything she has done for him and his health. We cannot recommend her enough!
