After my experience with this establishment, I felt the need to write a review. Firstly I spoke with Ms. Anna a mere 20 minutes after learning of the passing of my mother. Since she passed away at home, transport was needed. Anna was direct in her questions but very patient with me as I tried to answer her inquiry. A few days later I met with Gary to sign paperwork. He was very cordial and showed compassion for my circumstance. About a week later Gary contacted me to let me know my Mom’s cremains and death certificates were ready to be picked up. While trying to schedule a time to meet, as I don’t live in the area, he learned that her graveside services would be a few days away and at a cemetery about 20 minutes from his location. He graciously offered to drop off the cremains at the cemetery so I didn’t have to make a special trip. Gary followed up with me after talking with the cemetery, and then again after dropping off the cremains. I would absolutely use their services again, but hopefully not for a long time.

Just called this establishment for a price as my mom is making her transition. I am not sure the name of the lady that answered the phone however she was extremely rude! If this person represents the type of service received I would not allow them to cremate my dog! Thanks for making this difficult time even more difficult!

The lady that answers the phones at this place is disgusting & rude. When my mom passed away I called asking to see her and was treated so horribly and told that is never ever allowed! She is just so disrespectful to people who are newly grieving and vulnerable. I gave this woman a piece of my mind but was forced to call back and apologize (despite just having lost my mom) for the fear they would switch her ashes in retaliation. Anna, you will absolutely answer to God one day for the way you’ve treated people who needed your help the most. This place is awful! It deserves ZERO stars! DO NOT EVER BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! There’s so many other establishments that will work with you if money is an issue that will treat you kind and give you the compassion you deserve. STAY AWAY from here.

I am a nurse who has to call many funeral homes and crematoriums all over the US as I am a traveling nurse. The woman who answered the phone today (Anna Blackwell) at Chapel of the Pines was rude, disrespectful, and has no business dealing with the pulic let alone the grieving families. Please look somewhere else for your services or deal with them online only.

I have read several negative comments and I have to say I strongly disagree. They were very kind and attentive. She explained everything very clearly. When we went to sign the paperwork the gentleman was very very nice and came outside to greet us. Very reasonably priced.

Saw some negative reviews here, so had to add my own 2 cents. My mom passed away a couple of weeks ago in Houston hospital. I searched for Houston area crematories in Google found their company. I called Chapel of the Pines and spoke with Anna and she gave me all of the information I needed to know. She was very professional and friendly. She was incredibly busy, however, so I think some people may not be taking that into consideration. We took care of everything over phone, email, and postal mail over the next few days, and never had to meet in person, as I do not live in Houston. Very easy, no hassle. I have nothing but good things to say about their services. Thanks Anna and team for making things easy for me while dealing with a tragic loss.
