I called to advise that I had a bad experience with my recent hair color appointment, which left my hair color orange. After sharing my experience with Courtney, she assured me that they could transform my color and provide me with exactly what I preferred. She referred me to Ashton. who was one of the. most personable, knowledgeable and welcoming Master Stylist! I was nervous, because I didn't know Courtney or Ashton. But from the time I walked into the salon which was absolutely beautiful, I was meet with positive energy, a welcoming spirit, an infectious warm personality, undeniable confidence that I would be handled with care and peace that literally surpassed my understanding. Ashton, talked to me about how to proceed, immediately gathered the resources necessary and completely transformed my hair! Oh and the head spa shampoo massaging bed just took me over the top! I experienced relaxation from head to toe! While washing my hair and explaining the transformation of my hair as well as a long term hair care plan, I laid back on this massage spa bed and was taken to another level of relaxation! 100 out of 100 experience! Ashton was simply AMAZING, Courtney the owner was attentive to my needs and absolutely confident in the special gift that her Master Stylist Ashton possessed! “I saw Sarah for the first time. I started by telling her what I had tried to accomplish the last time I had gotten my haircut and how it ended up not working for my routine. I asked her opinion if there was a way I could make it work for me. She explained why it didn't work and how we could tweak it so that I got the desired effect while keeping in mind the reality of my hair routine, which I really appreciated! She was also easy to talk to throughout the appointment. I have spent the last 5 years continually trying new salons and various stylists at those salons after my stylist of 8 years moved. I was continually left unimpressed with the customer service of each new salon or felt like the stylist didn't listen to my requests and/or spent the entire appointment talking to a colleague and ignoring me. I was so relieved that this was not my experience at Laina Salon or with Sarah! As an added test, I had to bring my young son with me to the appointment, which I had avoided every other time I've gotten my haircut. He interrupted multiple times, just being a little kid that was bored. Sarah never missed a beat and was patient the entire time. Now I know to definitely not bring him in the future for my own sanity, but it also showed me that Sarah was genuine. So not only did I get the haircut I wanted, but I also am finally looking forward to going back to the same place for my next haircut after years of continually searching for somebody new to see!“

“One of the best haircut places in town! All the hairdressers are super friendly and creative, and they do a great job. The haircuts are affordable, the waiting room is inviting and cozy, and you don't have to make an appointment!

For the concious consumer, it's also nice to know that independent hair salons tend to treat their employees better and pay them more equitably than a major corporation's chain hair salon would. So I hope we will continue to see more independent practices that let hair artists do their thing without having to stress over bullshit wage structures giving them the runaround on what %age they actually retain. ?‍↕️“
