HOME Dog Training has been the best experience for our dog, Dugg! We did the 3-week Board and Train to help with Dugg’s reactivity towards other dogs and sometimes new people. During the 3 weeks working with Charles and his family, Dugg built an essential foundation of confidence, created positive habits, and learned how to make great choices. Our walks have become much more controlled and enjoyable now that we have the tools in place to avoid big reactions towards other dogs. He has also shown huge growth in warming up to new people. If you are thinking about getting training for your dog (and for yourself), I can’t recommend HOME enough. We look forward to continuing our training through group classes!

Charles and his family are the best! We had just adopted an anxious, reactive 1-year-old dog who wasn’t properly socialized, and we knew we’d need some help for her to fit into our home and daily life.
Since dog training is an investment, we took our search seriously and wanted to make sure we got real results. From the first consultation, Charles was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to connect with and help our dog. He made sure we were all on the same page about goals and expectations.
We ended up doing the 5x/week Day and Train program, and it was absolutely worth it. As the owner, you do need to stay involved in the process, but Charles gives great guidance on what to do at home between sessions. After just the first session with Charles, we were already impressed with her progress and knew we’d made the right choice.
One of the best parts is that after your dog graduates, you can join free group classes to keep building on those skills.
If you’re considering training with Charles and his family - you won’t regret it!

Charles and team are great! Their home facility is clean and there is plenty of space for the dogs to stretch their legs when not in training. The team recommended a great doggy daycare and boarding spot (Campground Kennels) nearby that would be a good fit for my anxious Giant Schnauzer. Charles went out of his way to meet me there for my pup's initial stay to help answer any questions the boarding place had. Highly recommend these guys!

We love Home Dog Training!! We sent our German Shepard puppy, Arlo to them for a 3 week training program and his commands improved significantly! Arlo was pretty much afraid of everything new and had no leash manners. But after spending a few weeks with his trainer Wyatt, he came back a more confident and well behaved puppy and does great on his leash now and loves going on walks. He also loves still getting to see his trainers at group trainings!! They really care about the dogs and take time to build relationships with them and the owners. Could not recommend them enough!

This is a happy story. We recommend H.O.M.E. dog training with enthusiasm. Guin is a 75-pound female Pyrenees/Pit Bull, about 6 years old. Guin has been part of my family, inside and outside, for about 4.5 years. She came to us sweet, enthusiastic, and wild, a young dog who grew up on a ranch with freedom to roam a big property. Over several years, despite being less wild and better behaved, she became overly, seriously protective, mostly of me. She had already become overly aggressive with other dogs. Her targets included people she loves: my wife, our son, our grandchildren. Little warning, if any. At times when we could not focus on anticipating Guin’s reaction to somebody’s interaction with me, we couldn’t have her around family. Even with that laser focus, it was too risky and too exhausting to lead a normal life for anyone. We decided to try something different to change the situation. If it failed, we would immediately start finding Guin a new, safer home in the country, away from us. The “something different” we tried first was Charles Countryman, his son Wyatt, and H.O.M.E. dog training.

Guin spent several weeks with H.O.M.E., training with Charles or Wyatt during the day, boarding with H.O.M.E. every night, coming home on the weekends. During each week, Charles sent custom video lessons, showing Guin’s training progress, the techniques being used, and including very clear explanations of what they were doing and how we would do the same things. Once a week we met with Charles and Guin for an in-person lesson, with Charles observing, suggesting, and explaining. We left with more homework every weekend, worked together with Guin at home, then took notes back to Charles with Guin on Mondays. He looked at the notes, maybe had Guin show him an example, gave additional suggestions, and then took Guin for the week.

The result is that Guin is back home. We are all safer and communicate better. We are currently on a 90-day boot camp with simple but mandatory instructions from Charles. Life with Guin will always involve our attention and care. We (dog and people) are constantly improving skills we learned with Charles. We have learned effective ways to avoid risk, prevent risk, and to protect others from a situation arising. Guin is calmer and more comfortable all the time, as are we. Less, adrenaline, more safety and serenity.

We will see Charles twice a month at group dog walking on Saturday mornings, and we recommend H.O.M.E. dog training with enthusiasm!

I absolutely love K9 Culture! They are amazing dog trainers — professional, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about what they do. Their new training location in Rockwall is fantastic — it feels very home-based and focused on real-life training, which makes such a difference for everyday situations. Communication has always been great, and they really take the time to explain the training process and tailor it to your dog’s needs. I couldn’t be happier with the results — highly recommend K9 Culture to anyone looking for real, lasting training success!

This location closed without informing their current customers with appointments that they were closing. Very tragic, they were a great business. They also discontinued boarding and grooming completely.

If you’re looking for a place that tailors each lesson to your goals, this is the place! I love this place! Having been a dog owner all my life, if seen my fair share of facilities that treat dogs like…. Well…. Dogs. This place treats each dog like its FAMILY. I’m thankful to have stumbled across this amazing FAMILY owned and operated business. (Not sure if you can tell, but family is important to me.) I will continue to go to Laura, Charles, and Wyatt for all of my dog training needs. Thank you guys so much! 💜

I can not say enough how devastated I was when I found out K9 Culture was shutting down, Sparkey and I now need to find both a new place to groom and board. We have been coming here since the almost the beginning, first with training Sparky on how to be an obedient gentleman, not ripping my arm off to walk, even sitting at the door and waiting for me to give him permission to go through. And then, as they progressed in their growth, they even opened up grooming, what a blessing it was to find a place that he was already comfortable with, and then a groomer that he established a relationship with who knew his quirky behaviors and got the job done. Kimberly is amazing. You should follow her where she goes.. his trainer Maisie did wonders showing both me and him haw to coexist and enjoy each other even more as he was a rescue with all the bad behaviors.
And then the boarding facility once they got that going was spot on with the kennel techs sending Lil video report cards every day he stayed or a picture letting me know how he was doing about his anxiety and making sure he ate. I can’t say how sad I am about not being able to come here anymore. Thank you, Charles and Laura for being a part of our lives, I wish you luck in whatever you do moving forward.

Today I was told by your receptionist you are going out of business and you are closing on November 5th. Now it all make sense now!

My experience with this company has been terrible from start to finish. I was promised professional training and noticeable improvement in my dog’s behavior, yet after the program, there was absolutely no progress. In fact, my dog came home worse than before — having accidents in the house, which had never been an issue before.

I reached out multiple times asking to speak with a supervisor (email & call) and was completely ignored. The staff I did speak with were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, offering no accountability or solutions. For the amount they charge, I expected a qualified team and genuine results, not excuses and poor communication.

Save yourself the frustration — there are far better, more reputable trainers out there who actually care about the dogs and their clients.
